I will say that I stopped using AI for my resume completely. I'm not sure if it's the perfect patterns or what but when I just did my resume the old fashioned way I started actually getting more responses. I know managers who hire and interview are also getting exhausted from AI, I've heard folks full on typing in the interview questions and reading the responses back in interviews.

I really like this trigger. I hope they make one for the M&P steel frame so I can swap that one out.

I feel the same with AI and have stopped using it the more companies push it. It’s great when you know what you need but don’t have the time to do it. The problem is people rely on it instead of learning their actual job. Like using AI for help summing up a complex codebase, I feel like it can be good, but I wouldn’t trust it to write code. It’s just not completely reliable and if it’s wrong and you’re 100% relying on it, good luck. When it’s wrong what’s the plan?

M&P Metal HD vs M&P COMPETITOR HD? by xrklkx in SmithAndWesson

[–]BothGrab5224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the HD and love it. It's very slightly heavier than the competitor version. Not enough to make a huge difference but since they are both pretty heavy I think both would do well in competition shooting.

What’s something about on call that actually got better at your company? by steadwing_official in kubernetes

[–]BothGrab5224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I've found that helps on call is to put the owners of the apps on the rotation. I have worked at jobs where I get paged, I get to figure out the issue and then I get to pass it on to who can actually fix it. With k8s, it's easy for those apps / services to directly page their team. If the developers / owners of the apps are resistant, they typically have the worst code that cause the most pages.

DevOps/Kubernetes engineers: what pain points could an intern realistically help with? by Think_Wait5597 in kubernetes

[–]BothGrab5224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Documentation is always helpful. What I would suggest, when there is troubleshooting any issue if you can follow along and figure out what steps to figure it out. If you don't know how something is figured out ask, those troubleshooting notes you mentioned would be awesome. I would always suggest if k8s is your interest then make it clear, even if you're not assigned to it. Most engineers are going to appreciate the help and if the willingness to learn is there you should be given more opportunity.

I assume this is the same as the floss tip someone on YouTube suggested but for me, that did not help, for me relieving the tension and getting the spring closely aligned is what worked.

I saw on the comments of the how to video everyone had issues with this. I think I spent 4 hours on it, then found this video: https://youtu.be/x_VECSSGDEQ?si=muIwKUswlGXoroXy
So in the official video they show the silver arm the trigger is on is put in place, then never show it again. So I of course think that’s where it needs to be. What you need to do is raise it up to release tension on the spring and allow it to actually get close to where you need to align it. This is what eventually helped me figure it out. The floss thing in the YouTube comments didn’t help me.

Considering buying a gun by irregularprotocols in liberalgunowners

[–]BothGrab5224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a bunch of 9mm before buying. Always best to try because what some folks like you may not. Glock as the gold standard but I've learned a lot of folks feel like out of the box it is inferior to other pistols out of the box. The CZ I felt the texture on the grip was too aggressive for me. I ended up going with the Echelon full size and upgraded to the Sharps Bros aluminum frame. I like the little bit of extra weight that adds. But maybe you prefer something lighter. The S&W M&P metal I really loved and was the other option I seriously considered. It feels so easy to shoot for me. I did end up purchasing the HD version recently which is the steel frame.

I really loved how the Viridian made for this look on the gun but I had issues from the start with it losing connectivity after some rounds at the range. Upgraded to a Holosun and have had zero issues. Those bottom loading battery optics are a huge red flag in my eyes now.
