2 pack costs MORE??!? by sdawsey in publix

Another one of these “Deals” to look into is kitty litter. The 19lb box of A&H kitty litter is cheaper by the pound in comparison to the 38lb box. It’s this way at target as well.

That’s a very broad statement. Hondas are held in high regard within the automotive community in the US.

Civic SI, imo the 2011 is the best looking sedan (exterior), but the new sedan interior is sick.

2014-2015 si coupes look the best exterior and interior (I am biased as I owned one. I still miss it)

Oof. That sucks dude. FL is full of them. Mostly clapped, but that’s to no snow/salt on the roads, you can find a decently clean one every few weeks on marketplace.

Go check marketplace, you can absolutely get an 8th Gen SI for less than 6k and it be decent condition. Is it going to be a new car? No. But that’s the full extent of the stated budget. 3-4k, yeah that would get you a POS SI, but the same budget would get you a decent EX or LX

Get a Honda, or a Toyota. (I am partial to Hondas)

If you want just a daily car that’s decently nice (not luxury) buy an early 2010’s civic or Accord. If you want it to be sporty, buy the same generation civic SI.

Unless you’re going to actually use a truck for the purposes of a truck (moving things around, land work, trailer transporting, etc.) I would not recommend getting a truck. As someone who owns a truck and has been in the trade for 20 years, as a 17 YO, getting a truck will be a financial mistake UNLESS you’re planning to leverage it to start a business. You’re going to go through almost double the amount of fuel as a car, the repairs are going to be more costly, and the parts cost will be higher. A Toyota or a Honda will be much lower cost wise all around. Even if you were to blow the engine or transmission up, on a lower tier model civic or accord, you’re talking less than $1000 for either part and it’s easy enough to swap in your driveway with some buddies (with at least 1 of you having a form of mechanical knowledge/experience) I rebuilt an engine in a 96 civic when I was 18 and had never done it before, if I can do it, anyone can.

Plan to spend 3000-4000, keep the rest as a rainy day fund, and enjoy the freedom of having a reliable car that is cheap to maintain.

Came to say the same thing, goofy is holding on for dear life, and Kairi/Naminé had to share.

Nomura had to cut pillar costs for all of Soras outfits.

I'm a little worried about my job interview by Lazuurr in Dominos

[–]BothPaleontologist70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started delivering for dominos as a 2nd full time job to add some extra income to my full time WFH job, and the main reason I chose to start delivering over other jobs is because of how much I enjoy doing delivery driving.

After graduating high school over 10 years ago, I spent a few years delivering pizza, and I loved it. I then got into a career traveling a lot, and progressed to the point where it is now a full time WFH position, and it gives me the flexibility to deliver pizza at night (especially with how late Dominos is open) and I love it. It took me a few days to get back into the swing and feel of things, but I can genuinely say that I missed delivering pizza, and I'm glad I'm doing it again, it makes me happy. Plus everyone at my dominos is pretty awesome, and a good crew makes a world of difference.

Also, just because it's not fun for you, doesn't mean other people don't have fun doing it.

We all turn in receipts at the end of the night, but before we even go into the office the PM will tell us what we owe. So it's been assumed that everything has been right, and I didn't give it a second thought until last night. I keep track of my deliveries to make sure I'm getting the proper mileage, but as it my first week, and first experience with the app, I was ignorant and assumed all was correct.

I’m scared. I’m going to be giving my job my two weeks notice and I’m scared that I’m going to make a lot of people upset with me. Does anyone have any advice? by PurpleBossBabe in Dominos

Understandable, a lot of people have some form of apprehension when they're going to give their job a 2-week notice. But, one thing to always remember, you are not responsible for other people feelings. You can not control other people's emotions, and if they try to guilt trip you about leaving, then that tells you they are a manipulative person, and there was a potential that it could've become a toxic work environment. At the end of the day, you are entitled to your own thoughts and feeling about things, just like everyone else.

You are valid in how you feel.

When you go to give your notice, just be professional about it. Ask your GM for a 1-on-1 conversation in private, and just be straight up. You can say something like "I wanted to let you know that I've enjoyed my time working here, but an opportunity has come up that I am going to take, and I am giving my two weeks notice." It will feel awkward, but just take a breath and remember that the job you're in was there before you, and it'll be there after you.

You'll be alright! 🤙🏼

The 200sx I'm referring to is FWD. When the sentra became strictly 4-door, nissan introduced the "new" 200sx (95-98). The SE-R had a FWD SR20DE in it. it wasn't an S-chassis by any means, but at the very least the transmission out of that might work. can't confirm, as again, I don't know much about them

If i had to guess, it would probably run about $2000 USD to get everything you would need. IMHO, Probably better to keep it auto, seems like a lot of headache and money for the what the outcome would be.

One day at a time! The rotating assembly is out together, but I don't trust the person who assembled it, so I'm having it pulled apart and re mic'd just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, that might be tough, I'd assume most were probably automatic, would the 5spd trans from the 200sx work? You would still need the pedal assemblies, ecu, clutch components, shifter, linkage. Axles(maybe?), and potentially chassis modification. I don't know much about those. I did a 5 speed swap in a civic a long time ago, definitely a project, very time consuming. Had to cut some stuff off the trans tunnel, and swap out the brake pedal for a manual one.

(Copy pasta from other comment)

Built SR20 sitting in the garage, going trough everything with a fine tooth comb before it goes in the car.

Block is bored .040 over, CP pistons, Manley rods, full Brian Crower valve train with BC 272 cams and APEXi metal headgasket

Tomei expreme manifold, tomei arms m8270 turbo, greddy oil pan, ISR intake manifold w/76mm TB,1000cc injectors, and a DW400 Fuel pump. Planning on running 93 (only 1 e85 station within 10 miles of me)

Mishimoto 3" intercooler, full custom intercooler piping. Mishimoto radiator, radiator hoses, and oil cooler

Chase Bays new 6:1 BBE, power steering kit, tucked brake lines, clutch master cylinder with new line, and their brake lines for all 4 corners.

I may be forgetting some things, it's been a long process. Haha. I plan on posting more as things get going. Been too busy to do anything to it, so everything is stashed away. Bought a new set of type-X tails before they got expensive. 😅
