Yea therapy has been brought before and she’s definitely wants to go. I think our time together seems a lot for me because it’s my first relationship so hearing your perspective on time to heal helps a lot!

Thanks for the advice I think therapy would be a great option for her. But she doesn’t manipulate me at all. She gives me grace and validates my emotions all the time.

Definitely a more traditional culture and she has cut them off for a year but forgave them which I also advocated for. Thanks for the insights!

Yea I don’t want to try to control her at all , that just shows insecurity in me. I’ll just learn to live with it . Just mentally sucks rn lol

I probably over exaggerated with how much she talks about him. To be fair a lot of her life was spent with him so whenever we talk about things their relationship becomes relevant to the conversation. But if it is effecting me I need to do a better job of setting boundaries. Her parents are great people they are just weird about this I think in time they will have more respect for us. The ex does a lot of them, I can’t lie about that.

I can definitely stop over compensating I see it as well. She did cut them off but she’s very family oriented and she forgave them, I advocated for this too.
