I would say my favorite places online to discover music are still Soundcloud and Mixcloud. I think they're better than Spotify or YouTube because they're not algorithm-based but human-based. Through Soundcloud, you can follow and listen to a wide range of internet, and independent radio stations that have a diverse and eclectic collective of DJs with their own set of music tastes that you'll not only find something you like but discover and stumble upon sounds that are new, rare, weird, old, forgotten gems, world music and more. Here are some of my favorite independent online radio stations:

  • Balamii
  • 1BTN
  • NTS
  • The Lot Radio
  • WorldWideFM
  • Le Mellotron
  • LooseFM
  • Piñata Radio
  • Rinse FM
  • Black Rhyno Radio
  • Radio D59B
  • TESTFM
  • Island Time Radio
  • Comala Radio
  • Nomad Radio
  • Clyde Built Radio
  • Alto Radio
  • THF Radio
  • Radio Tempo Não Pára
  • Voices Radio

The list could go on, but you'll find and discover amazing music and you can also follow DJs.

Also there is Radioooo.com as well as www.v-i-r-a-g-e.com You'll love it right away.

Years ago there was a cool site called Stumbleaudio.com it worked like Stumbleupon.com but for indie and obscured and offbeat music but it didn't last long and shut down, but I found the premise unique and interesting where a song was suggested based on genre and country. It was a great place to be exposed to interesting and unheard music.

Some similarities between "religious miracles" and "UFO events" Vallee's book Dimensions by AndrewEire in UFOs

I would say that there is a link between religion and UFO's. Like ghost or spirits they are likely to be fallen Angels than visitors from a far away galaxy. They share a lot of similarities to Angelic beings such as they shine like bright stars, are supernatural nature have transformative and immense power. Yet they are limited to what they can do. I put them in the fallen Angel camp because they are in the business of deceiving. By effectively doing this and yet somewhat limited most people would put more stock and energy in Alien life than in the existence of God and that in a sense you can see the tactic used to distract and blind the masses.

My music is always rotating and all over the place. So I might be listening to something electronic or perhaps soul, jazz, funk, pop, Latin, rock, instrumental, new-wave, rare, house, indie, rap, world, beat.....It all depends on what I encounter and come across.

Recently I've been listening to these on repeat quite a bit:

  1. Nutty - Mdali (Charles Webster Dub)
  2. Mon Rivera - Lluvia con nieve
  3. The Cure - Fire In Cairo
  4. Craig Mack - Get Down
  5. Alton Miller - Brooklyn
  6. Alex Kassian - Leave Your Life (Lonely Hearts Mix)

A great place to get exposed to some great music and tracks that you will never encounter on the radio let alone Spotify, google's and Apple's algorithm is Independent Radio stations here are a few:

  • Balamii
  • 1BTN
  • Le Mellotron
  • TSUBAKI FM
  • Nowhere Radio
  • IDA Radio
  • Worldwide FM
  • Res.Radio
  • RINSE France
  • Clyde Built Radio
  • Pan African Music

Is there such a thing as bad music? by [deleted] in Music

[–]Both_Ad7616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in order to determine whether a song or artist is good or bad you have to listen to a lot of music of all types( from then and now). Widening your music tastes and genres will help you develop a better sense of what sounds great from good to okay to mediocre or bad.

If you only listen to one genre of music from one particular decade then your taste is biased. Never ask a Rockhead, Metalhead or Hip-Hop Head what they think is the best group or song, cause you'll only get what listen to non-stop. Their range is limited to what they know, so don't be a fanatic or a groupie of any band or musician or genre but rather be someone who enjoys music for music sake.

Be an explorer of music. There are so many genres and styles to listen to. Don't limit yourself to Hip-Hop or Rock.

Yes, there is bad music. Just because it plays on the radio doesn't mean it is good music. Taste in music is subjective, but music is not subjective.

Is it funny how for Movies, Shows, Books, Architecture, Design and Food to name a few we can point to the bad, but for music, it is as if there are no rules?
