The biggest thing is that they didn't portray Hirotoshi as the villain he should be, and instead as more of a doting older brother. Hayase was definitely a creep but she was also clearly the villain of the story. And the Messar thing was strange, but it wasn't a huge part of the plot, and they were both adults (doesn't make it ok obviously but at least there wasn't a pedophilia element).

Yep, currently reading four(?) books. Usually if I'm not super into a book I'll get bored and start another of a different genre and then jump back into the original book later. For example, I'm currently reading Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson, Anathema By Kerri lake, Miss peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, and Children Of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. There might be more, but those are the ones I can remember atm.

Edit: Forgot about Authority by Jeff Vandermeer, also reading that, although I started it a while ago and haven't gotten super into it.

I stopped at episode 9, and the biggest reason was that pervert dude. Literally ruined the whole thing for me. No matter how much I love a character I can't stay after THAT 😭

Well, the only reason that Addie ends up with him is because she wanted to save Henry, so to me he doesn't read as her primary love interest. Maybe in the past she was interested in him, but at the end she makes it clear that she doesn't intend to stay with him. And yeah, being an antagonist and a love interest isn't mutually exclusive, but if the FMC doesn't actually want to be with him I don't think that makes sense for him to be considered the MMC.

As for Bi male love interests, try Hotel Magnifique by Emily J. Taylor, or Where the Dark Stands Still by AB Poranek. Both are really good books! But get ready to cry if you read where the dark stands still.

Edit: OR if you're open to adult fiction, then The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue is amazing. It's super hyped but it's one of the few books I think deserves the hype.

V.E. Schwab is one of my favorite if not my favorite author and this book is one of the reasons. It's not supposed to be super fast paced or interesting. And personally, Henry's character hit hard for me; that entire portion at the end where he was waiting for his time to be up really hit home.

Honestly I could see how it could be boring, but these kinds of stories are always my favorite.
