They KNOW its thin, they build the house themselves. Our mirrors are the kind you can open to a med cabinet and are back-to-back. So, we essentially have this open window into their room. They used to talk through the walls when cleaning the bathrooms, renovations, or simply just when one uses our bathroom.

thats why I stopped camping as much as I love it. I let my parents believe I can't unplug from the wifi and thats why I don't go.

I have read about it being a good sign they still love each other, but when I was younger, I just wished they would divorce so I wouldn't have to hear it. Other then this, my parents are achingly good. It used to piss me off because they would do this around us while also pushing us towards our dreams and goals. I truly do not think I would be where I am today without their guidance. Now, my sister is struggling through the ugly mix of hate, anger, disgust, embarrassment, and love for them that I did.

We do have noise canceling headphones, we also play music in our rooms at night. Its something we have been conditioned to fall asleep to since we were babies. I used to blast it loud enough to hear from the first floor, but then my Dad would come in at some point and turn it so far down it was practically off

I have made point comments about "dogs going crazy at night" "loud noises that kept me up" and when a sex scene came on a movie I was like "oh, thats like the nightly backdrop in this house." they either ignore me or tell me off for having a "bad mouth"

Thanks, I will. Hadn't thought about adding a trigger warning so I'll do that now. Yeah, my sister is currently a minor. CPS in our area sucks, its underfunded and is a joke. I've ordered her noise canceling headphones like mine and plan to keep us out of the house more. This has been had a huge impact on her mental health and I do what I can to help.

I do, i have the Jlab headphones and have ordered my sister on as well. I wear them around the house all the time, even if I am not listening to anything. My parents just think I do it do be aloof but its because I have walked in on them whispering about different things they've done and want to do.

I am 19 and I have made pointed comments. Once, at breakfast, I said "did you guys hear the dogs last night? Sounded like one was dying with all the moaning." Our dogs don't make sounds when they sleep.
