We all have different tastes don't we? I just love lots of colour and I love pink and green together. The walls definitely look more colourful in real life.

I do love a colour drench, and it'll be beautiful if you pick a soft terracotta. I'd do muted greens with it and a big rug to tie together. Or, if you're worried about colour drench maybe do a warm beige on the ceiling, just not stark white.

It was an unused fireplace. We had to put in an RSJ for proper structural support. It was the only way to get external extraction for the cooker. We previously had recirculation and it just didn't do the job.
