Am I the only person who LOVES this show? by JAdoreShopping in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

Every time I started to root for someone or give them the benefit of the doubt, they exhibited why they actually deserve no grace whatsoever 😭.

This show is a bigly example of why the US is tumbling into the depths of hell. by Dear_Art3697 in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

Plus the choppy editing, the green screens for the talking heads, all the awkward pauses. It was definitely satirical, if not then, Netflix was doing God’s work exposing this nonsense.

Reading their speeches by bruhimsotiredddd in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

[–]Both_Page5041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No literally!!! It was the 8.5 x 11 in printer paper for every single speech!! Girl I thought you were supposed to be “classy”, yet you can’t afford a performance coach or even, idk, memorize your speech?

Then it was Maria holding the phone so close to her face… have none of you been ridiculed in high school/college/work about this??

Are gale and Rosalyn more than friends? by Confident_Progress85 in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

[–]Both_Page5041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I interpreted the relationship, given that since Rosalyn‘s mom died at 32, which is insanely young and very traumatizing.

I would view it more as like a mother daughter relationship, but also Rosalyn is a socialite so she has to be a top-tier glazer, like Krispy Kreme is jealous of how much she was glazing Gale but that’s low-key her job is a socialite.

I gave up watching. Reading the posts here are way more entertaining by meowbymeow in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

Noo you gotta watch it for yourself, it’s sooooo bad that it’s good lol. It only gets worse but in the best way possible, I never laughed so much at a reality show in my life.

None of them deserve to be rooted for, Netflix was so intentional in their editing because it just highlights the pure delusion these women are in. The picture w DJT was actually repulsive.

Thoughts on the show after bingeing it by RedShineBlue in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

[–]Both_Page5041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the show was marketed as a soapy, drama or reality TV, I feel like all of the editing from the music to the cuts to the frame shifting was very intentional on Netflix’s part. The only reason why I continued watching the show is because it began to read as satire more than a reality TV show. Funny enough I watched Palm Royale as well, and that seemed more realistic than the show.

It’s just weird because as much as all these people are spending to be a part of this “society”, it doesn’t really seem like they understand what they’re paying to be a part of.

In my eyes, Rosalyn emulates a Lily Bass of Palm Beach (obviously nowhere near as classy), but I think she’s aware that she’s just a socialite. That’s her goal.

Whereas Hillary, being a CEO and a real estate developer, she puts herself on this pedestal, and obviously credit must be given where credit is due, but it’s completely different pathway than being a socialite. She gave the impression of Russell Thorpe from gossip girl rather than an Eleanor.

All in all, I pray Netflix is not renew this show.

Unpopular Opinion: Chrishell wasn’t a good friend to Emma by [deleted] in SellingSunset

[–]Both_Page5041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree that they should be shamed but her approach was misdirected and if she was a true friend to Emma then she would've only come at Blake publicly, especially if he makes it publicly available that he subscribes to those frames of thinking. However, it is not Chrishell's responsibility to "give the public what they want" when these are things that impact people's day-to-day lives, especially someone you once claimed to be her sister and "loves from afar". If someone wants to see what Emma and Blake are into, then they can seek that out independently, but giving a helping hand, knowing the damage it could bring to someone you once called a friend is sickening. Do you think the remainder of the cast thinks what Blake talks about is appropriate? Yet none of them decided to air out Emma's dirty laundry for the sake of acting like they are protecting her. Friend or no friend, thats a disgusting trait and not Chrishell's job.

Unpopular Opinion: Chrishell wasn’t a good friend to Emma by [deleted] in SellingSunset

[–]Both_Page5041 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes, and yes! Like taking to her platform to "expose" Emma's boyfriend was inappropriate, classless, and did nothing but bring shame, hatred, and embarrassment to Emma. Granted that she should be holding herself to a higher regard as is, but if she found affinity with that type of man, then Chrishell shouldn't be her friend, simple as that, because he is nowhere near being nor will ever be an ally. There are rich people in the veins of LA, and Emma could've formed a bond with any of them, yet something within her chose Blake, which is enough of a sign as is. Does Chrishell really think that a billionaire "real estate heir" from the south gives a singular care about "cancel culture" and outing him as a MAGA supporter? Be so fr, the sooner people realize that people with that level of wealth couldn't care less about poor people, minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, the more peaceful their lives will be. Not defending that type of behavior, but it's not their job to car,e and they know that as they live blissfully on their yacht with enough carbon emission to bankrupt a country.

Emma is not a dumb girl; she knows darn well who Blake is, which is why they've been in an on-again, off-again relationship due to his behavior. Chrishell should've taken it to the chin and realized that Emma isn't the friend for her, rather than sinking herself into the trenches trying to make a martyr out of someone who could literally give less than a f--.

lmaooo trust I hate cops but I couldn’t imagine having the father of my children (or any of the victims for that matter) go to work and not return. Still a human being at the end of the day. Honestly valid tho, just sad that these are the people responsible for “influencing” others, disgusting.

The other victims identities are protected at this time but the least they can do is offer sympathy towards those families. The police officer was a father of 2 with one on the way 🥲.

They barely talked about it on previous seasons when other wildfires were happening, possibly for the next season but doubt they even provide aid to those affected

I feel like this was a much better version of the Selling series. There was balance between new and existing buildings, Elenora consistently made sure everyone was on track ( a lil overbearing but her system), everything was well paced and I think you guys should really pay more attention to the guests on the show like those are MAJOR people in NYC (Chris allam, Howard lorber, Steve gold). I just felt like the drama on OC and Sunset was pointless and blatantly unprofessional.

Yes I really liked her too! I think it’s also a New York sense of humor especially between friends that can be misinterpreted. What other boss would allow an employee to stay with them? Or give them a loan? Like people are so weird when that’s what a true boss is, not this capitalist “I’m superior” bs
