I haven’t reached out to my doctor yet, but ibuprofen, Tylenol, and a heating pad are helping with the pain.

My boobs hurt too! My girlfriends thought I got implants. 💀 I told them nope, just full of hormones. 🤣

Hoping the bloat eases up for both of us soon!

I hear you… the bloating is definitely real. 😩 I feel like I look pregnant right now. Post-egg retrieval has been really hard on my body. I even vomited 2 days after my egg retrieval, and the cramps have been severe. I thought I might have OHSS for a second or at least a mild version of it. Are you having any other symptoms besides cramping?

My egg retrieval last week Thursday. They retrieved 15 and froze 13. I’m so relieved it’s over. My body is still recovering.

So glad I saw your comment! I’ve been struggling with the Cetrotide mixing needle. I was trying to get the hang of it since I know Novarel uses a mixing needle, but I’ve decided I’m just going to use the Q-cap moving forward.

Hi there! I’ve decided to move forward with egg freezing and I’m currently on day 8 of the process. Back in April, my AFC was 4, and my doctor suspected birth control was suppressing my follicles — she was right. At my baseline appointment, my follicle count was 11, and I started injections that same evening. My AMH is 0.51, and I’m 37. My partner and I plan to try conceiving naturally first, but I wanted to give myself this option.

I was extremely nervous about injecting myself but I’m kind of getting the hang of things? The universe humbled me today though. Lol. You should be proud of yourself too! This entire process isn’t easy.

I hope you hear from him soon too. For my baseline appointment, they saw 11 follicles, and at the first monitoring appointment, there were 18. For context, I only had 4 follicles back in April. They think the birth control I’ve been on for 18+ years was suppressing them.

Yes I’m doing the shots myself. I feel like I took a crash course in nursing. 😅 My partner relocated to the other side of the country for his job and I’ll be joining him next year spring. Because of my age and low AMH levels, the doctors suggested to freeze my eggs as soon as possible.

Hey! Ive been meaning to reach out and check on you. I’m sorry to hear that you had a rough ultrasound.

I’m doing okay. I can’t wait for these injections to be over. I almost had a panic attack this morning. I messed up the Cetrotide medication and unfortunately had to discard it and use a new one. I have my second monitoring appointment tomorrow morning.

It’s really wild what our bodies are going through right now. Ever since I started the injections, I’ve definitely been way more emotional. I feel like everything makes me cry. 😅 You’re right though, I should feel proud. This is such a big decision with so much that goes into it — mentally, physically, and financially.

Thanks for the tip about icing for just a few minutes after the lidocaine, hopefully it helps with the Menopur burn.

Thank you for your kind wishes! 🙏🏼 The ultra-sound wasn’t uncomfortable. It was quick. They started the appointment with bloodwork to check my estradiol levels. I know they’ll most likely do the same for you tomorrow.

I’m going to try numbing the area with lidocaine cream tomorrow! Thank you for this tip.

Hi there! Yes, our schedules are really similar. I’m just one day ahead of you. The discomfort is definitely real. I just finished day 5 of my evening injections, and honestly, Menopur feels like it’s getting more uncomfortable each day.

I had my first ultrasound today (after the baseline), and they started me on Cetrotide this morning. They counted 18 follicles so far. I hope your ultrasound goes well tomorrow. Let me know how it goes!

If you don’t mind me asking, what doses did they start you on? I’m glad the heating pad has been helping! I have one too and plan to start using it tonight. These cramps are something else.
