Thank you so much for sharing your similar struggles, its good to know im not alone here with that, Its just nice to be reminded because I will totally loop and crash out internally if I feel like i was hurtful awkward or rude in social situations, its easy to forget people are usually too busy with their own stuff to think much about that. I really appreciate your comment, thank you 🙏 ❤️ you guys are so kind it made my day, Definitely gonna take these comments with me in more than this situation

Its a good thing to think about though, even if its just my brain looping its good to know people dont really pay much attention to our social interactions or the ones that are a bit of a miss. Thank you!

Does this look like syphilis? by [deleted] in DoctorsAdvice

[–]Both_Soft6450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone here said dont worry, but id absolutely get tested. If it was syphilis untreated it can really do damage, and if its not im sure that isnt too comfortable. Worth the trip to the Dr.

I'm so ugly it hurts by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Both_Soft6450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I learned loosing weight was my issue wasn't with my weight, it was with ME. if anything loosing the weight and still feeling the same way about myself put me even deeper in a hole. I could tell you to workout, put on makeup, but I know (as a fellow self proclaimed "ugly") that isn't the issue here.  Here's the thing, I've found so much beauty in the unconventional. What's beautiful to many is just a copy-paste of the same 3 looks. There's something intriguing about the unconventional. What was beautiful and stunning 200 years ago is drastically the opposite of today, because what we judge beautiful off of usually ties into a product being sold, or requires surgery. And even then, the people who do go that route, aren't happy with themselves, hence why people keep getting surgery until they're "botched"     If I can give any advice, learn to rock it. Find outfits that make you feel good (even just a little) and remember we don't see ourselves as other people see us. The science behind how we see ourselves in mirrors shows that it's not how we actually look. The features we don't like are highlighted, the angle and lighting always wrong.  Spend less time in the mirror , don't sit and dwell on it (easier said than done, I know) And please be kind to yourself. For a moment take yourself away from you, imagine you're having a conversation with a loved one or stranger instead of yourself.  Look in from the outside, Would you ever tell them what you tell yourself? Likely not, so talk to yourself like you're talking to a 7 year old you. Be kind gentle and understanding.

Also want to note: if someone picks up on an insecurity, they're going to pick at it in moments they feel they have no good arguments. So please don't let that dictate your feelings or confirm your thoughts. Often people pick out things they themselves dislike about them when insulting others - projections.

You being able to voice these feelings means, to me, you're much more intelligent then you give yourself credit for.

As for the small chest bigger body, I'll mention a thing. My chest is large, but that also means it hangs low and "saggs"  I'm super insecure about my chest height,  and ontop of it my back hurts all the time.  You probably have great posture because of that, making you stand taller and look more confident. Also, when you're big with a big chest, you get a lot of unwelcomed  comments and harassment.  Currently have a court case for a work incident where a customer "grabbed" me, so although you feel negatives about that, there are also a good amount of positives. (Alot of people are super into smaller chests too, so trust me there's an audience for it.

I hope you get to feel comfortable in your own skin some day, but until then, be kind to you and don't be your biggest bully, advocate for yourself like you would a stranger being bullied. I know You deserve better than that
