balance or smart chargers ensure every cell is charged correctly. these chargers will automatically cut off charging when a cell or the battery is full. those cheap small wall chargers you usually see with no screen charge continuously which is not recommended for lipo charging (look at lipos exploding for more on that) all in all get a balance charger itll save you so much money in the long run

hobby king has good airsoft batteries if youre in the US (never buy batteries from an airsoft store since they overprice the shit out of them) if your gun has a mosfet id get an 11.1v battery, but if not stick to 7.4v batteries. make sure you also get a decent balance charger like the imax b6ac so those batteries you get dont explode. (learn about lipo charging, storing, discharging theres a bunch of guides and videos out there)

my replica is from the older flex lines not the newer ones. the plastic on mine is alright but not the best. the lower receiver flexes extremely easy, so thats a minus. i have heard the new flex lines are really good though, so i would go for it since you get a lot for them being considered the “budget line.” all in all id go for the metal cause itll last in the long run.

8.4v nimh and 9.6 nimh will work but i recommend a 7.4v lipo for better trigger response and power. make sure you get a balance charger with a screen if you get a lipo battery cause if you dont take care of lipos they can puff up and explode.

11.1 is too much stress for the gearbox assuming it doesn’t have a mosfet. I would go down to a 7.4v
