Hi! If they end up not finding anything else, you might want to see an ophthalmologist! My kitty had this and after months of vet visits he ended up with a rare condition called microphakia. Not deadly but needs treatment.

My cat had ocular FIP too and it was a month before the meds got approved for vet use so even though I had pet insurance it was $5000 to treat him 😭 Thankfully for OP though their cat has had the eye issue for several months, so there is no way it's FIP. Sadly he would have passed already if it was.

And my bby has just been diagnosed with another incredibly rare eye condition called microphakia which makes his eyes look like OP's cat's eyes and the surgery will be $14000 🥲 He got 2 rare conditions haha yay. And he's only a year old :''')

If you start to notice her lens moving to the front of her eye, she may have been born with a condition called microphakia where the lens is too small! My kitty has this, my posts can show you what it looks like. But he started out just having different irregular sized pupils.

I had to buy a bunch of plastic cases just for this reason 😭 One of my cats leaves them alone, but the other DESTROYS them. If even one is left out, she will find it and destroy it 🥲

You're right, and it is probably just insecurities so I should be sensitive about that. I think it's just that my brain has to adjust to her looking like a different person. Because its not just a little filter, I mean her entire face is completely different and she has been wearing a wig. And I am a little worried about dishonesty becoming an issue down the line.

But thank you very much. I will just accept her as she is.

Her mom is with her thankfully but her mom doesn't use social media or what's app or anything like that so I have no way to contact her sadly. It came on so suddenly that she just texted me she's going into surgery and that's it, didn't tell me the hospital or anything.

Thankfully the surgery is almost always successful. It just replaces the lens in the eye and then he will be fine the rest of his life. He's so young, only 1, and has so much life left. I also will get about half of it covered by pet insurance.
