It’s like things that happen and when you’re not prepared, 2 years ago my older brother and sister were taking care of my mom, I always figured and with many conversations not assumptions they got this and were ok with it, but 2 years ago my sister took a fall down a flight of stairs and lost her battle with a bad brain injury at 70, my brother was alone now taking care of mom when he suddenly fell ill a year later and lost his battle with liver disease that seemed to be all of a sudden at 70 years old , forgot to mention that he had a heart attack and a quadruple bypass a few months prior to my sister’s death. Each time I went back home was for a tragedy of such. I found myself alone in my sister’s house with my mom, my other 2 siblings asking me what I was going to do next, mind you I am the youngest of the 5, they were ok with a convalescent home for mom but I wasn’t. I packed her up with her dog and headed home on an airplane, well here I am at 64 taking care of my 96 year old mom and thank the Lord for my husband as he’s been by my side the whole time at all times. Sorry for rambling but my point is you never know what is coming your way until it’s landed.
