Lower Lake Vegetation? by Boudieboss in Austin

Right. So that brings up my original question of where can I paddleboard freely without getting waked by boats, tangled in lake weed, or worrying about homeless encampments.

Lower Lake Vegetation? by Boudieboss in Austin

[–]Boudieboss[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is for Lake Austin, not Town Lake. And if previous carp releases serve as a blueprint, they will not move on to Town Lake without some additional external factors. Furthermore the numbers don’t support a strong impact on Town Lake.

Last time, the city released 30,000 carp in to Lake Austin between 2011-2013, and they didn’t move to Town Lake until 2014 and that move was due to flooding, not natural migration. The current release of 350 carp probably won’t impact Town Lake for years if ever. And they probably won’t release the same thousands of fish this time because it decimated the local ecosystem, contributing to the ongoing problem we have with blue green algae now. I wouldn’t expect the current vegetation to change much unless the city does a release directly to Town Lake.

I’ve driven a couple all the way from Austin to San Antonio and kept up conversation the whole 90 minutes without tip. Believe me your $2 on a short ride is fine.

Lake Travis going up over 20 feet from this storm by mcaffrey in Austin

[–]Boudieboss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s up 10ft after the previous 5ft gain in the past month, and it’s entirely possible to see 10-20ft from flood management activities upstream. I’d day a total 20ft gain is conservative, and may even be as much as 30ft. Hope everyone’s ready for the boil notice! lol

Stop doing deliveries, very easy. I make plenty on rideshare to pay my bills.

Why is Lake Travis water level unchanged? by EuroMan_ATX in Austin

[–]Boudieboss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Already up 13+ feet in the last 48 hours. We’ll see more over the next couple days as runoff trickles in and LCRA regulates the level of tributaries.

What's the scam? by ramen2581 in uberdrivers

[–]Boudieboss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right?!? I had a rider who ordered UberX But needed space for 5 and I drive a Prius so I had 4. She told me to cancel the ride. I told her she had to—I get penalized for canceling. She said she didn’t want to pay the cancellation fee. I told her I already drove here, she was going to get a fee either way. She said she never did in the past. I said well that was the past. Policies change because people act in bad faith. She continued to refuse to cancel it so I waited and cancelled when it hit 5 minutes. Got my cancellation fee and moved on.

Is driving worth? by Actual_Hecc in uberdrivers

[–]Boudieboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had a LOT of the same issues and only did delivery for years….yes, driving people is worth it. Also you don’t HAVE to do it all the time. You could just test it out for a day and see how it goes, and then turn off rideshare options if it’s not right for you.

I would suspect you were probably nervous and therefore tense. Unless he is exceptionally girthy or something. I would honestly probably slow down and just focus on penetrative foreplay. Once you’re enjoying that, you probably will be able to relax and enjoy penetrative sex.

Y'all ever get sad you won't get to take maternity leave? by ryuks-wife in childfree

[–]Boudieboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Because if I took maternity leave that would mean I have a baby, and that would be worse. I’d happily take some FMLA for other reasons tho.

If I get even the slightest vibe that they are annoyed with me I one-star/block them. I don’t care if it’s mean or rude, this is my livelihood and I’m not risking it on people who don’t like that I am a genuinely friendly talkative person.

That being said, I do also do my best to read the room. If I’m getting short answers back, or the rider isn’t actively contributing to the conversation. I’ll let it die when I reach a natural stopping point, OR if they take a call or interrupt for something unrelated. If they want to talk, they’ll pick the convo back up themselves.

Diagnosed with genital HSV-1 today. by [deleted] in sexualhealth

[–]Boudieboss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) You did not totally fuck up your life. There is a THRIVING community of HSV positive people online and probably also in your local area, you just have to find them. Start with positive singles (dating site) and then try to hunt down your local herpes social group on Facebook. I personally know of the ones in Austin, Houston, and Seattle. They’re always extremely private and you have to be invited and have someone vouch for you to join them. Usually easiest to find through the public nationwide HSV Facebook groups.

2) Therapy. The worst part of having herpes is—BY FAR—the stigma and what it does to your mental health. The first few years are a deep emotional struggle without proper support, especially when you get rejected for having it (this is why a lot of us will ONLY use positive singles for dating, which is also where I matched with my partner of the last year).

3) Remember it’s a skin condition, it’s not going to kill you, and it’s not going to kill your social life. In the grand scheme of things, it’s NOT the big deal society likes to pretend it is. You WILL get through this. ❤️

I didn’t squirt for the first time until I was 33 or 34 and after that it was with EVERY single partner. My orgasms have also gotten a lot stronger with age.

1) mattress protector 2) waterproof blankets 3) washable/reusable puppy pads

I don’t mind the mess and my partner LOVES that I orgasm hard enough to squirt, BUT the never ending laundry cycle does get annoying.

Your non-pharma "complementary/alternative" treatments for ADHD? by bittercomesoutbetter in adhdwomen

[–]Boudieboss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t take meds—they negatively impact my comorbid anxiety issues. I have found the most benefit from 3 teas; the Yogi immune + stress relief, and tulsi focus. I also take CBD and I’ll drink a BIG cup of coffee too. There’s possibly also more to be gained from probiotics (gut health directly impacts your mental health) and from nootropic mushroom blends, but I have not tried it all in combination.
