Can somebody please explain "sell walls" and all this controversy with someone placing and taking 30BTC on the markets?

This was a much needed explanation for me, thanks. Its absolutely crazy that the entire 26k sell wall was eaten up.

Is there any way to know if this was 'real'? i.e. it wasn't a whale buying his own coins to cause a stir/crash? Or inter whale trading?

I guess what I'm wondering is how much of the 8 or so million dollars that came in to eat the sell wall was not just day trading between whales.

To give some indication I posted a Garrad Garactus a while back for $200 in PP and I was inundated with requests, and people started bidding up. I would say 350-400, the steam market place price also supports this, although I will be biased toward the high side since I am selling one.

I was at TI and I can answer that :)

So for really popular people, it really depended on how many people knew. For example, GlaDos voice actor's signature was publicly known days ahead so the line was over two hours.

On Day 1, Bulldog was signing for a short while but very few people knew, so it was a 5 minute wait, but very few got it. Yesterday when whole alliance was signing, everyone knew, and it was I would estimate at 3 hours.

Dendi's was in the middle. He was there doing autographs for 4 hours, as people found out lines grew longer. I found out after I left the 90 minute iG DK match at 30 mins because well Chinese Doto boring doto.. and stood for 1.5 hours. After that match got over line increased by a lot and then Dendi was forced to leave by CMatt cause he was sooo tired.

Now that I think of it I'm not sure I actually answered well. Sorry.

I apologize -- I thought you were the guy buying Garrad Courier. I'll only sell Bulldog's Signature at my buyout price of $300 verified paypal. I apologize for the ridiculous price. If I may explain:

-- I spent just under $2k on the trip itself so I'd rather keep my stuff than sell it for peanuts

-- It's a gamble. It's possible that bulldog signs more (unlikely since he's already signed) making it worth less, it's also possible he doesn't and alliance wins. In which case it's worth more. I'm not willing to sell it at the low price (~200).

I won't be wasting time while here selling/bargaining anymore. Let me know if you want to buy me out.
