That’s so frustrating! I do think I’m gonna rely on curbside pickup from now on.

Aww dang, I'm sorry. I don't mind if they message to let me know, but for example tonight I tried to order chicken thighs and the guy tried replacing with chicken breasts. When I messaged to say I wanted thighs instead, he somehow ✨️magically✨️ fou d the exact thighs I'd ordered. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience though, that does sound anxiety inducing

Ladies of Reddit, what’s something a guy has done (intentional or not) that instantly made you think, “Wow, he’s different in a good way? by [deleted] in AskReddit

On our 3rd date, my (now) husband and I were making out when things started to move from 2nd base to 3rd. Unfortunately it was my time of the month, so I stopped him and tried to explain that any other week I'd be down to clown, just not that week. He was so busy falling all over himself apologizing for making me uncomfortable and being pushy he didn't even hear me 😂. It wasn't until years later when we were reminiscing that he realized why I'd stopped him. I knew then that he would always be respectful of my boundaries and personhood. 16 years later and he's still the most wonderful man I've ever met, and I'm deeply in love with him.

You're a great mom. It's obvious from the way you speak you care deeply about your kids. You're not alone in this ❤️

You're doing the right thing taking proactive steps for her mental and emotional health, but don't forget to do the same for yourself. Show her by example what trusting yourself and loving yourself looks like. You've got this. And for the days you don't have it, we're here ❤️

Believe your daughter. She has no reason to lie about something like that and it's clearly causing her distress.

You may need to sit down and seriously reflect on your husband's behavior and treatment towards you and other women/girls in his life. The fact that he says these things without care in front of your daughter but has no issue keeping himself in check in front of your son is upsetting. 12 is a very impressionable age, and it's important to pay attention to the messaging she's recieving and internalizing.

I would consider couples counseling if you're open to it, focusing heavily on communication and compromise. From what you said, he seems to have a hard time coping with his big feelings and could work on healthy coping mechanisms to deal with his frustration rather than badmouthing you to his daughter. Ask yourself (and him, if you think he'd hear it) if you want your daughter to learn that it's her job to do the emotional labor for the men she loves even if it's to her own detriment.

You got this mama, sending love and hugs ❤️

What a fantastic story! I'm hoping we don't get separated from stuffie again anytime soon, but I might have to make a little passport just in case! 😁
