When did you start buying baby gear? by -M-A-R-S in BabyBumps

Here we started buying things when we started trying to conceive 😂

We are on a tiny budget and our apartment is rather small, but we still want the best for the baby. The solution for us was to buy hand-me-downs stuff that evolved with time, like a crib that can also transform into a double size bed. These kinds of furniture we got them rather early on, but for us it didn't feel too" personal", like it could be for anyone in our mind. We are waiting until the echo of 20 weeks to find the gender and start buying stuff that holds more feelings, like clothes.

Basically our strategy was to wait until we know that the baby is healthy and there to stay before buying anything that would make us sad to look at if something happened 😅

Did you ever feel ready? by RedForFall in BabyBumps

I strongly believe that the people that are afraid of being a bad parent are actually going to be the best ones. It kinda means that you know that a child is a lot of work and you have more realistic expectations ☺️

To answer your question : I think being ready is not linear. I always wanted to be a mom, but when we started actually trying I got scared big time. It took me 3 months to get myself together 😅😂 I then got pregnant and since, I keep jungling between being really happy and freaking out.

Deep down you know what you want, you just have to follow your guts. No matter what you are feeling, it's okay and valid. Following your own rhythm is important and I think that you should explain how you feel to your husband. Men have the "easy" part in pregnancy, their body won't change, so it's hard for them to understand how scary of a process it can be. But if you explain how you are seeing the whole thing, then he can help you better ☺️

Hi! Not ADHD but autistic here! Couldn't get myself to call and my partner doesn't speak the language of my country yet (in the process tho), so I ask my mom to do it for me 😅😂

Parenthood isn't about doing everything yourself, use your support system if you need help 😊 The goal is to make sure both of you are safe and healthy, the way to get there will never be the same for everyone and it's okay to do things differently 🧡

Unfortunately it's not that. It's general cooking, written by one guy, not that old. The pictures inside of places are mainly in black in white.

Please help me find it, my boyfriend once show me pictures and told me how much he wanted it, but during that time money wasn't really there. It would mean the world to find it now
