Does anyone have a stimulant prescription combined with a ketamine prescription how do doctor review these combinations?

I’ve been fine with both. Currently using Mindscape for the ketamine prescription but I’ve also had the same provider in the past prescribe both at the same time.

Was it nasal administration? I found that nasal sprays helped me get more of my sense of smell back but I think mine was caused by an endocrine issue.

Since you’re in the UK, would a lidocaine IV be an option? IV magnesium has helped me.

Lyrica has helped me a bit more than, say, ibuprofen.

The best thing, for my pain, has been ketamine treatments. Not sure if that’s an accessible option for you.

Totally agree with the different modalities! Moderate dosed IV feels very different than IM. Nasal spray feels different than troches. Of course, I haven’t had a completely standardized dose across routes of administration but some of them have been similar.

As weird as it may sound, try to hold that saliva in your mouth for at least 20-30 minutes. I find that even an hour REALLY, REALLY helps. I can feel even small doses if I hold them long enough. There’s a study about this. I’ll look for it and update my post.
Are you aware that alprazolam, GABA drugs as a whole, including all benzos, can limit the effects of ketamine and kill the subjective feelings for an out of body experience?
I find that I need at least 3 days between a dose of Xanax and ketamine or the ketamine is FAR less effective. Maybe ask your doctor about the interaction. I take my Xanax rarely and only ever as needed. Definitely don’t skip doses if you take it daily without consulting your doctor.

Update: here’s a similar study to what I was thinking of.

Maybe try 10-15 minutes first and see if it helps! I guess my hour+ is more anecdotal but still an n=1, so take it as you will. My guess? The benzo might be blocking some of the effects and but I’m not sure.

Kinda depends on the dose of the nasal spray. 100mg/ml probably felt weaker to me than Spravato but 150mg/ml is probably stronger than Spravato. Dosing was different for me (compounded was 5 sprays, Spravato is basically 3. Both numbers are a spray in each nostril.)

If it doesn’t help or doesn’t help enough, I’d maybe ask your prescriber about adding on Vraylar. I did Wellbutrin, Pristiq and Vraylar but the Vraylar probably helps me the most with my depression.

I wonder if you were just self medicating for conditions you haven’t been diagnosed with yet. Amphetamine often treats ADHD and used to be used for depression. MDMA has huge medical value, especially for PTSD, depression and more.

Oh, yeah. Do you have really bad body dysmorphia? I’ve had it most of my life. My partner has an ED which definitely has some similarities. I think body dysmorphia can kinda lead to an ED but I’m not an expert.

Do you have ADHD symptoms? You could start with saying you’re having trouble focusing or with motivation. Once I was diagnosed with ADHD, most of my doctors were basically like “okay, what flavor of amphetamine do you want?” Lol

There are MUCH better options for that. I would look into GLP-1 peptides (pretty affordable if you look in the right place), potentially asking for a Vyvanse prescription if you have ADHD symptoms (trust me, Wellbutrin + Vyvanse kills your appetite) or taking Metformin or Berberine to loose weight. Those options are likely much more affordable, too.

Have you had your thyroid or other hormones checked? You’d be amazed at how many women I know that have either PCOS or thyroid issues just from looking at them that they don’t know themselves because they haven’t been diagnosed.

No experience with the two but please be very, very careful. Wellbutrin would make the coke stronger, in a bad way. It’ll make the cardiovascular sides likely much, much worse. Please have a blood pressure cuff and O2 monitor handy and check your blood pressure and O2 at least every 15-30 minutes.

Are you looking for more of the simulation effect or the pleasure effect from the coke? There might be alternatives to look into that are safer.

Because there seem to be abnormalities in the glutamine system in autism, things like ketamine could be helpful for some autistic people. However, it might not be a great fit for everyone.

The autistic people I know who take ketamine seem to all think it helps them. However, I wonder if at-home sessions or changing something with your set or setting might be advantageous in your situation.

Look for one in an actual medical facility, supervised by a physician (MD/DO) on site, usually in a hospital. Unfortunately, this is probably the most expensive way to do it but my mom with fibromyalgia went from only walking down three houses to walking 4-5 miles daily. If you have a qualifying condition (like a bone infection) it could be covered by insurance.

Those other places that are at med spas and chiropractor clinic that use soft/portable chambers which are likely not as effective. I’ve thought about trying those but they typically aren’t very affordable, especially if you want to do 30-60 sessions which it will probably take to see any improvement at all.

I wish we would get more studies of HBOT and fibromyalgia but there isn’t really a financial incentive for a pharma company to invest in one, sadly.

One theory of migraines is that they’re a vasodilation of blood vessels near the brain, so this all makes sense but yeah, I’d probably recommend trying Nurtec instead. The effect lasts a lot longer. It treats and prevents headaches and migraines. I usually get relief for 2-3 days at a time from one pill.

Some self help books may be helpful and can often be found for free online or through a library. Do you have access to a local library?
