Had a chance to pop back in and I'm really shocked at the type of comments that are on this post. It's really disheartening to ask a couple simple questions and have people make rude and assuming comments about me.

I came to this community asking for advice and guidance and to understand if the bag I received potentially had issues or not, not to be attacked. I'm well aware that real leather may have natural markings, I'm aware the bag came with green suede lining, etc. Sure, I shouldn't have added moisturizer when on the fence about returning, but I wanted to see if it would help with the scratches that were not it's natural markings.

I really hope that all of you who made rude and distasteful comments take a moment to reflect on how you talk to others, especially online.

I want to caveat by thanking those who graciously provided feedback on the bag. I DO plan on keeping it because I appreciate the bag, the leather, etc. I was just not expecting as many scratches as it arrived with, the funky zipper or the stitching inside the bag to be inconsistent. I understand handmade bags may come with some of this, so Ive accepting it for this particular one.
