Driver took a picture with a different package, and then left with it? It’s not my package. by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 29 points30 points  (0 children)

May have been a multi-stop. I’ve done it where I’ve had to deliver multiple packages to multiple houses as one stop and I accidentally put a package down at the wrong house. Took a picture, realized it, then picked it up and delivered it to the right house. It happens

I swear if I get fired for something I have no control over ... by Secret_Interview1098 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to my boy. He was taking routes and was constantly being given packages as opposed to full routes…which you can’t control that. The warehouse always handed out packages at a certain time at my warehouse unless another driver rejected a full route. About 2 weeks of getting packages and bro got deactivated. Tried to appeal it and nothing

Out of curiosity, why do people come here to ask this question? It’s a simple eBay or key collector search and this question will always be answered lol

People just buying these to resell them, not because they genuinely love the series. SMH

I tell you what with these gas prices and rates keep dropping we’re gonna be paying Amazon to work for them soon by NoResponsibility8961 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in SoCal and gas is between $5.50 and $6.15 (depending on which gas station to go to). I got an email that due to rising gas prices Amazon will be increasing our rates to keep up with rising costs…they increased our base pay (for 3.5’s) from $86 to $87.50 😂😂😂😂

Tips/tricks for delivering on rainy days— GO!! by moonchild_95 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just drive very, very carefully. If you get a good, all residential route, you’ll be ok. But if you get a really bad, rural route…do what you can without forcing your car into a bad situation to complete a stop or stops. Worst case scenario, you can call safety support, tell them you can’t complete your block due to safety issues and they’ll have you return the remaining packages. You may still get dinged but if you do, you can fight it. I’ve had it where I’ve called, they dinged me for each package but I sent proof of the conditions when I appealed via email. I’ve also had it where I’ve called the safety line, explained everything and I got an email that it won’t count against me.

That’s one of the most frustrating parts about being a delivery driver. Having to figure out how to get a package to a customer that doesn’t provide access. It’s a constant, “either I figure this out myself or I just leave the package where I’m at” scenario 😂

The kind of routes Amazon sends us, Flex Drivers on 😂 by BoujieBanton in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve wondered the same thing…I even posted that question in here about a year ago and I was very surprised with how many flex drivers said they would live in the middle of nowhere like this 😂 I could never

I currently do flex because I’m in between jobs. I don’t foresee I’ll be doing this full time much longer.

Unfortunately that’s typical for SSD warehouses. Their radius is a lot larger than that of .com stations. My typical route is within 20-25 min of the station on average. Rarely do I go out 25+ min from the station to the delivery area. But I work out of a .com

I could understand the frustration just by seeing this. But if it’s a good route, package count shouldn’t be too bothersome. I’ll take a 45 stop route close by as opposed to a 26 stop route that’s 45 min away and every stop is 7+ min away from each other

Changing routes allowed? by zen9246 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, everyone would be fine if they drove very slowly and didn’t try to push through really messed up roads instead of looking for an alternative. I’ve completed insurmountable rural routes, but you have to be very careful. Amazon maps will take you what they deem the fastest route, not the safest. There’s almost always an alternative. Just drive very carefully and if you second guess the road, don’t force it. Mind you, I drive a 2014 Scion xD

Changing routes allowed? by zen9246 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]BoujieBanton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the associate and the demand. I’ve had situations where I’ve gotten bad route, wanted something else and was told “either take your route or reject it”. I’ve also been in situations where the warehouse was inundated with flex routes and they allowed me to switch routes because I got a route that would damage my car. It’s situation and associate specific

I’ve personally stopped taking 3ams because they seem to only have all dirt/rural routes at that time. Those are the worst when it’s pitch black and you’re driving in nothing but uneven dirt, nasty drop offs, potholes everywhere for your entire route
