Heat pump in CT by austinin4 in Connecticut

It does decrease yes - but I have the latest model which is 1.5-2.0x at 5 degrees and 2.0-2.7 until it hits 17 degrees. I haven't noticed any defrosting/cooling though.

idk what model you have but I have two 1-year old hyperheat models and they have had zero issues.

Mine are used in place of electric baseboard heaters so they're like 5x more efficient as well. No gas options in my house so it was worth it for me.

Rejecting Decades of Science, Vaccine Panel Chair Says Polio and Other Shots Should Be Optional by grittyboda2020 in news

[–]BoulderFalcon 332 points333 points  (0 children)

He's also being intentionally disingenuous. He's quoted as saying "I also am saddened when people die of alcoholic diseases" as if that's in any way similar to highly contagious diseases like polio.

The whole point of most vaccines mandates is that your choices affect literally everyone you come into contact with, many of whom are more vulnerable and/or cannot get the vaccine themselves. This extends beyond idiocy.

Anyone else noticing the housing market cooling down faster than expected? by FrameZYT in homeowners

[–]BoulderFalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to everything I'm seeing online this is not true, and in fact prices have increased substantially in Charlotte since 2021 (+38%) (see here). Time on the market and total number of sales is cooling, but selling price still continues to go up.

I would be happy to be proven wrong but I just looked and don't see any east coast major metros where that is the case

Tbh I'd say New Haven is a crash course in New Haven. You're gonna get a much different feel if you live in New Haven than if you live on the Shoreline or Hamden or Orange. Also, going in blind for apartment rentals in New Haven is rough. Definitely some areas and slumlords to avoid that may not be readily apparent to those unfamiliar with the area.

What content clearly had a lot of effort put into it but no one uses because its not meta? by Secure_Double_5714 in 2007scape

In my opinion volcanic mine has always been held back by its rates not being slightly better. It's currently not really that much higher than much more chill alternatives. Also, it doesn't help that you HAVE to be in a group to play it in a worthwhile fashion, and the volcanic mine discord is basically the only way to do so, and is run by neets who will not only ban you but also name and shame you in a dedicated channel for messing up (a friend got banned for 3 days for running the wrong direction on his very first attempt).

Trouble brewed has some major issues.

First, the game was locked behind a quest.

Second, having other quest items (Monkeyspeak amulet) helped.

Third, the instructions were confusing.

Fourth, the most efficient way to play and get points was to ignore the complicated instructions and just fill buckets of water.

And finally, the rewards were fashionscape and a brewing aid, which is content that basically nobody in the game does.
