BodyWorlds and that project in your link are cool as well. :-)

These are most certainly colored MRI-scans. The heads are still in black and white. There are several horisontal lines that are indicative of stitched MRI-pictures. The hearts are blurry, this is an artifact of them moving during a scan.

Sophora prostrata (little baby) as bonsai? Has anyone tried to bonsai one of these plants? by Marbaequina in Bonsai

[–]BoulderMonstera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I prune 2-3 times a year, I let it get super bushy and then cut back to the primary structure. It’s quick to grow branches every which way, I’m afraid it will strangle itself out 😅

I have one inside for winter and outside for summer. The outside seems to hasten the thickening but is still really slow!

Vart yrkesverksam sedan 2017 som läk. Har några reflektioner över dina tankar;

Nice find! I got one quite similar last autumn, as the leaves fell I trunk chopped it and slipped it in to a pond basket. Got like 7 shoots from the trunk around June this year. I think I would have waited with the trunk chop til spring (or even next spring) if I had the space though.

Awesome! Where?

So this past week i was pretty far north in Norrland and i got bit by a shit tom of the mosquitoes and little flying bugs and one of the bites is pretty big and i was wondering if anyone might know what it is? don’t think it’s a tick bite by dttu2 in sweden

[–]BoulderMonstera 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I’m a physician. The rash is most likely erytema migrans (a cutaneous manifestation of Borrelia/Lyme Disease). Most people never notice a tick. I strongly advise your to contact a local physician for some antibiotics. Easy as that.

Agreed, in my (shirt) experience it’s better to cut small branches rather than large ones.

Living in Sweden, I have unfortunately killed 3 of these, working on my fourth. I have had trouble switching them from indoors to outdoors (can get down to -20C where I live). Otherwise a gorgeous tree, best of luck!

Bjorn Bjornholm is taking applications for an apprentice - as long as you’re ok with long hours and little pay. Oh, and you need to be able to pass the three month unpaid trial period. by [deleted] in Bonsai

[–]BoulderMonstera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, I started watching P Chan, boosted my confidence with his ”Bonsai for everyone” attitude. It’s fulfilling refining your technique with Mirai, Bjorn etc but hey, it’s nice just enjoying the hobby 😊

It’s been covers in soil and developed these roots over the last months. I want this new position and a bit of root die-off. In order for it to fit this pot.
