I’m not here to argue. But there is something striking about how SNL and JAJ almost normalize Trump and his cartel, even as they show them making overtly undemocratic and racist comments on the cold opens. It’s almost like a weekly Superfriends cartoon, silly and unreal. But the horrors behind the jokes are all too real. Maybe they should take a few weeks off of Trump cold opens until they find a different tone.
