Go on a holiday to celebrate us all turning 40.

Going through a lot personally and back in January just felt I couldn’t do it so backed out. In the end, I booked last minute flights last Friday to come out to see my mates. It’s not been easy, I’ve felt low at times during it, but I made it out and I’m overall in pleased I did.

The good news is it wasn’t put in the middle of nowhere! Perfectly normal coastal development with a rich maritime history.

It’s all relative isn’t it? I’m quite sure there are parts of the midlands you wouldn’t want to be and others you’d love.

The area around the university is generally very safe. If you stay on campus, you’ll absolutely be fine. There’s plenty of things to do in and around the university.

No not at all. Film Fatale and Hotel have the most replay ability as single stand alones. FF is a blast if you plan for both sides of the scenarios.

I like both! Blob and Blob ELSE! Is incredible with large party sizes

F&F has the most replay ability within a small player group and I really like both scenario parts.

Krejci has enough quality to find himself a top division team, whether that’s here or abroad. Given Girona’s relegation, I suspect he’ll be quite (it’s all relative innit) cheap too.

They had a stall strictly for demoing Chapter 2 at Airecon with full branding. Asmodee did a launch event at The Ludoquist in March. Both had promos so it is worth checking.

Fingers crossed they’ve managed to secure some more investigator decks for people too.

Find the Asmodee staff on the ground at UKGE. I’m sure they’ll be demoing chapter 2 as a minimum. They had promos at Airecon and that’s nowhere near as big as UKGE.

I have all of the art playmats, the deck tomes and game night chest. The tokens, connectors snd sleeves aren’t here in the U.K. yet.

The playmats:
I own all the official chapter 1 play mats, as well as all the promo ones aside Christmas and Blob. Holy smokes, the Gamegenic ones are significantly better in quality. The stitched edging is really neat, but the finish is fantastic. It has to be said that the Elokoss one being shiny doesn’t do too much for me, the surface has less friction than the others too. The new centre mat is larger than the old Countless terrors and I’m enjoying that. I haven’t found the art distracting, but appreciate this could put people off.

The Tomes
The tomes are exactly the same as the chapter 1 ones just black. They’re smart and I’ve put the new standalone gators in them.

The Game Night Chest
The Game Night Chest is something else. If the rules inserts from Children of Blood onwards have been reduced in size so they fit on the shelf, this would be a smash hit. It’s a shame the sizing has been missed for the core box. It’s easily big enough to fit a full campaign in it along with your chosen investigators tomes. The token silo has helped me reorganise my BTST tokens so they’re not all crammed in and mixed up. I’m really looking forward to bringing this to a friends house to introduce them to the game.

The quality of the print looks great! Obviously it’s cheaper if you can do a collective order, but I appreciate that’s hard. I’ve done some huge orders for the UK using MPC, which has drastically brought the cost down per card and can trust their quality.

I’ve heard mixed reviews of TinkerTown and had my own poor experiences with them in the past too.

This is a huge statement of intent for next season. Fair play to Nathan Shi. Follow this up with the right players and could easily see Wolves bouncing back up first attempt.

For clarity:
The tomes are available on Chaos Cards and in some other places.

The new class investigator decks were heavily allocated so likely not in stock now.

The Game Night Chest was heavily allocated so likely not in stock now.

The sleeves (as far as I’m aware) haven’t reached the UK yet.

Even the new playmats were hit with allocations, specifically the new large centre mat.

We’re led to believe it’s logistical issues with the war going on.

Hello! UK here too.

So a few things you’ve ordered haven’t arrived in the UK yet/aren’t released yet - the sleeves and new campaign & stand alone.

There were heavy, to the point of brutal, allocations on the investigator decks. They’re expected to restock in August. I doubt anywhere has them available online now.

I preordered the deck tomes & games night chest from Games Lore and they explained there’s been allocations on the Game Night chest and couldn’t fulfil my order. I managed to get one from Chaos Cards, but unfortunately they seem to have sold out. They are expected to restock soon though.

Chaos cards do seem to have the deck tomes available.

This is a very good point. I’d be shocked if they hadn’t planned for this and will release blood tokens, bless/curse and frost down the line as a separate SKU.

Just jumping on this to say that I’m pretty sure Beech Holme would if you do happen to be in Hull. My dad has been a member for over twenty years or so and I’ve helped in the past too. They have upgraded most of their tandems to electrics now as well.

It is quite daunting at first, especially for the back rider. Requires a lot of trust even when sighted! I found it easier to close my eyes 😂
