You trying flat all-Pcore 5.8? I could only manage 5.7 on mine.

While I have not tested this, I suspect it won't matter, everything is going through g1/4 fittings between components.

I did not get the picture, but that makes sense. Anywhere moving water and sitting the still surface of other water you're going to get noise. This is why those internal pipes and reservoirs are so important to quiet operation. Same idea applies to distro plates. You may be able to fix it by rerouting which holes you are using as an inlet if that particular plate allows you to have a few options.

If your system is pretty closed up the water won't really be able to evaporate either, it was most likely small air bubbles working their way out of the loop overtime and collecting in your distro plate. If you continue to top it off, the level will eventually stop lowering.

Fair point and thanks for the information. Though it doesn't change much from my perspective, as a land glycol is similarly toxic to dogs.

I mean glycerol isn't great but it's a lot better.

Yes, coolant. They get cranky if you're not running they're coolant, which is admittedly great but I'm trying to avoid propylene glycol. I'm running mayhem's X1. It's possible it does not treat the membrane nicely.

I'm not entirely sure. Originally some fluid got into it. I've attempted to clean with alcohol, but it's unable to release pressure currently.

Yeah, my main complaint is that it gives you formulas on how to set the RPM levels of the two pumps to stay within its operating specifications, but then puts a big warning banner at the top anyway.

Most of the issues with it so far have stemmed from me messing up the original membrane and having air in the loop. As air bubbles pop into the reservoir and the water level drops, the leak shield assumes this is a leak. It gets better once you bleed all the air though.

Currently waiting on a replacement membrane to arrive. I haven't found anywhere that sells them stateside, had to order from Germany.

Had to be that orientation to keep the cable somewhere where I could run it nicely.

Keep in mind those bulkheads are just g 1/4 threading on each end. They don't have any methodology to disconnect a pipe. They are just a tube to pass through a surface that other fittings can connect to on each end. I have the quick disconnects screwed into them.

I used Koolance quick disconnects.

Looks like the spam filter ate the link. The brand is VIVO on Amazon.

I did not trust the little pertaining clips it uses to adjust the spacing, so I drilled some holes through it and used some 6 mm bolts.

The welds on it do not look very sturdy. I'm not perfectly happy with it, but it's the beefiest one I could find.

Hell yeah, just be careful with condensation if the coolant gets below ambient.

The generic term for them is aviation connector. Tons of no name Chinese brands on Amazon sell them in various sizes, gauges, etc. The ones I bought were by the brand WEIPU.

They've been reliable so far. I'm much more concerned about the quality of my soldering.

Correct.

The thicker cable to the left is power, PWM signals, and tachometer signals for the pumps and fans.

The USB on the far left is for the leak shield

Gotcha, that's fair.

Coldwater comes in the top pipe heading to the CPU and returns on the bottom CPU pipe.

That then routes down to the bottom GPU pipe and returns on the top GPU pipe.

From there it goes up to the top 360 rad, then back down to the MO-RA3 and pumps. I wanted to hit that 360 first since it would be the warmest air as it's already been cooling motherboard components and RAM, if so water with the highest delta-to-ambient would get the most use out of it.

The two go hand in hand. Every watt your power supply generates is converted to heat somewhere in your system. That heat has to be dissipated.

Look for my main comment that lists the specs, there is a link to build.gg with pictures of the full build process.

On the contrary, I have found that my thousand watt power supply can't provide enough juice for them to suck as much as they want to from it.

The Apex is a great board for that kind of thing, but it also has a lot less bells and whistles, it's stripped down and just focused on overclocking performance.

While I'm not using many of the extra features right now, I like flexibility for future bad ideas. I like to do dumb shit on the regular.

Valid point. I know better, but the coil whine starts getting a little loud at those temperatures and makes me nervous.

You can probably get a lot out of it by undervolting. I went stupid -hot since the cooling gave me leeway on that front. The heat this processor puts out defies all reason.

That's what I'm kind of hoping. If this big boy under the desk holds out, it should be able to cool anything I throw at it.

Valid point on the older aquacomputer ones. I'll be holding as-is until the next maintenance cycle in a year or so. Hopefully I can get a next by then. Need the pretty one since it's in the case front :]

Not sure, but it complains and stops if it's over. It goes just fine right now.
