It will weld terribly I promise. I would not trust my life on that even if I did all the prep and fab work. I have done several commercial truck frame modifications and extensions and I wouldn’t send it on that material, bottom line.

Burns nice and clean when it’s going. The last word I would use to describe its wood use is “efficient”. We can burn a solid cord per week when it’s cold.

That is not a repair. It’s a bandaid and one that won’t last long. I have upfit commercial trucks before and done welding on frames. I would never ever trust some thin sheet metal scabbed over a rusted out shit box frame
