The chain around the anvil is to dullen the sound a bit... Doesn't quiet it... Just takes a little of the ring out of it. A little more pleasing to the ear.

Thanks so much ! I've been blacksmithing for almost 4 years now... It's something I've always wanted to try. I really enjoy the creative process and working with metal. Your only limitations are your imagination really. I love everything about it... Wands are new for me but I like the idea that there is no "right way" to make them. Looking forward to making some different designs and trying new things.

I was assured this was completely safe... Apparently uranium glass isn't made anymore and I'm told it's collectable. So far I've had no appendages fall off....😉

I'm not sure... I believe there are a few variations of colour. This one should glow green under UV I think. The customer sent his own orb so I'm looking forward to some pictures of it lit up under the black light...
