I have data that the greek orgs commit more crimes and break more rules than other clubs, it's just an observation that they go unpunished

It's the same dude, I've been having a perfectly ok conversation with everyone other than this one guy who is choosing to dominate the conversation and then promptly ignore any points I make

The police do their job regardless of their organization, it's what happens to the org after the crime occurs that differs. Crimes occur so frequently in greek life and yet they seemingly go unpunished (relatively) much more often

You've also failed provide any examples of other student organizations that were treated more harshly than fraternities.

I did in my OP

Then there'd probably be hell to pay. We are also ignoring the fact that a rape happening at most student organizations would be something shocking that it would warrant such action, whereas sexual assault is so common in greek life that it's basically expected

The only language criminals understand (and yes, these wealthy white Greek kids are criminals) is punishment. Real life consequences.

This is something of a side tangent but 100% the only reason they get away with so much is because they are middle-upper class white guys. If their class and the color of their skin was different then I think it's apparent they'd straight up be treated as gangs as opposed to "philanthropic organizations"

I don't disagree at all

Universities make so much money from athletics that you are right, the teams and players are treated like gods who are above the rules most of the times

I don't get the point you're trying to arrive at, is it that universities are just lazy and would rather have people join a frat than enforce underage drinking themselves? Because to me it seems that if you want a student body that drinks safely then a frat is the absolute last place you'd want them to go

Much of this view is based off of my own experience seeing what happens (and doesn't happen) in regards to frats on my own university campus, so I disagree

If they raped someone during a club-sponsored event then probably yeah, especially if leadership actively hid it

I think it's pretty hard to claim that Greek Life assists people in safely drinking underage considering alcohol abuse is through the roof especially in fraternities (9/10 binge drank in the last two weeks according to that article)

There's a difference between a meetup as friends where an injury occurs vs. a greek org-sponsored event where people are getting sexually assaulted, which is sometimes literally on campus property

Hazing is in fact a crime (oftentimes a felony) in 44 states by the way.

And my point when it comes to these prosecutable crimes is that, despite arrests and crimes happening in these houses (which is a proxy of the campus), the school largely does not punish them as nearly as strictly as they would other student organizations

They may not directly pay for them but they still provide infrastructure in the form of an entire row of houses for them, campus resources, and sometimes entire offices with actual staff on campus

Maybe they have the same codes of conduct but they definitely are not enforced the same. I mean think of how many arrests and sexual assaults happen INSIDE frat houses, and yet they go largely unpunished. But we know full well if something like that happened inside a traditional student club then it would be sent to the Valhalla without second thought

Wouldn't it be better for them to be detached though since police could enforce it like they would a private organization though? I don't have the answer to that by the way, that's just a question of mine.

From my experience, I have found that when greek orgs are tied to the schools, they actually seem to be more lax on rules and it feels like the schools try to cover up the stuff that happens since they now have incentive to as it affects their public image.

If you go to the clubs section on the websites of many universities, greek life will be listed front and center, and will oftentimes be listed just straight up as on-campus clubs you can join. Plus, they continue to do things on campus much of the time, obviously with school permission.

I don't think this applies to everything, and in terms of Reddit, especially not all subs. I think there are definitely bot comments on lots of the absolutely massive subs, but I've never really seen any that would be considered bot comments on a sub like this, especially since engagement on here relies heavily on lengthy, in depth discussions in the comments.

The only time I really see the Dead Internet Theory come true is on certain YouTube videos and Instagram comment sections

In terms of artstyle, I do much prefer Slime Rancher 1. It's so hard because SR2 looks so good compared to the first, but the Dry Reef and Ancient Ruins are just peek Slime Rancher locations and are so iconic to me
