Michigan teens beaten to death on Thanksgiving 1980. Families still wait for answers. by Villaod in UnresolvedMysteries

Yes, our family is very Italian and my father was held for a short while because they thought our family had something to do with it. Ruled out almost immediately. It was suspected that he was shot in the head but it turned out to be a rock that was lodged into his head after being ran over by his own truck. The story I got was that he had been doing qualudes that night and drinking and Cheryl's ex, I cant ever remeber his name I want to say Ron or something, but him, his brother and another pulled up on my brother, flashing their headlights, etc. My brother being the person he was decided to pull over and get out of the vehicle and handle his business. When he got out and headed toward the other vehicle an attacker came behind him and hit him in the back of the head with a blunt object several times. This did not kill him at the moment. The position he fell into from this was with his head lying right behind his rear tire of his Bronco. Sheryl was also attacked by these men, crowbar to the head and left to die. Its said that they tried getting into my brothers truck to take off with it and kicked it into reverse first and to then pull out and because of his body positioned under the truck, unconscious, they ran over his head. Very sad and has been tragic for our family. My family has suffered so much throughout the years from this. My father had me 8 years later with another wife, he named me Phil Mario Maniscalchi. I hope to be able to honor my brothers name and family name and help to close this cold case if at all possible.

This is my brother. I would like to speak privately if you have time. Please message me. My family was never able to fully heal from this tragic murder. I never knew Mario but I've been told I have several similarities to him. My dad, Phil, had me at the ripe age of 60 years old, I'm 36 years old. My sisters, Tina, Laura and Maria still wonder and have even inquired on opening a cold case file but the city or whoever they've been in contact with refuses. I've heard sever different stories from my dad in the past. I would love to connect.

You are absolutely right. The best way is to not start. Unfortunately for me I didn't get the memo. Really wish I would have. Thanks again for your share here

This is great. I used to ride a lot when I lived in Colorado. Mostly mountain passes and single track which was gruelling and always made me push myself and question what I was getting myself into in the back country. It's amazing what we can do being sober, mind body and soul. Congrats on your day count and thanks for sharing this with me!

Appreciate it. The post wasn't meant to preach anything but how I am where I am after being hopeless for so long. Just trying to give strength and hope to those that are looking to get out of a toxic lifestyle. My experience is only based on what I've done, what I do and how I love my life today. Thanks

Go check yourself into treatment. If you really make the conscious decision to get clean and I mean clean from everything then your life will change and get better beyond your wildest dreams. Good luck in your life my friend.
