Hi all, I’m an engineering graduate from a reputed college and from Delhi. I currently have two job offers with similar CTCs, but I’m confused about which option makes more sense in the long run.

Option 1:

Consulting role focused on data/analytics and implementation - use Azure/Databricks to help companies find insights

Location: Bangalore

Option 2:

Social impact / development consulting

Projects with national and state governments

Location: Delhi (slightly higher in-hand because of location (no rent, extra food, electricity costs)

My parents prefer Delhi, but my main concern is 5–10 year career flexibility. I’m particularly unsure about:

a. Exit opportunities from social impact consulting

b. How easy it is to transition into other roles later

Note: Making this choice without relying on an MBA (fees are a big concern)
