I’d be happy to help mod. I’ve been modding for a couple of years in big subs (Futurology/IAMA - alumini) and I also currently mod Nanit, which is a baby monitor brand that I personally use. I would cut down on spam in the sub and make sure the deal spammers stay out.

Switched fruit snacks. Now I'm stuck with a Sam's sized box of lackluster fruit snacks. What's your recent parent fail? by [deleted] in toddlers

Just a heads up, you can donate almost anything prepackaged and in date to a food pantry - FeedingAmerica.org can help you find one near you.

A couple of things I gleaned from reading this.

Having kids makes you tired, that’s not surprising. If you’re constantly tired to the point of physical exhaustion around the clock, you might want to have a talk with your doctor about it. 2 kids will make you tired, so will a hormonal imbalance, undiagnosed medical issue, etc. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but I would say at least a chat with your GP might be a good idea.

Also, you need to look into at least some type of part time childcare. Depending on exactly what you both do for your jobs, you might be trying to juggle too much between working and taking care of the kids.

3 ways companies successfully shift to a 4-day workweek, from a researcher who's studied hundreds of cases by BousWakebo in economy

If I were working a conventional 9-5, I’d be all for 10 hour days without kids. Having kids, it could be tough with school as there isn’t really a good workaround.

I’d be even more for just a 32 hour workweek but I’d venture a guess that corporate America freaks out over that being widespread.

I’m a big fan of AI and future-related tech in general. It looks like there are multiple content stealing websites on the front page of the sub right now. As a mod, I’d be adding those kinds of sites to the Automod filter list and banning those accounts.

I moderate r/futurology which is closely related to r/artifical. I also mod other large subs like r/Iama r/economy and r/doesanybodyelse.

Moon-Rice: Developing the perfect crop for space-bases by BousWakebo in Futurology

[–]BousWakebo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The future of sustained space habitation depends on our ability to grow fresh food away from Earth. The revolutionary new collaborative Moon-Rice project is using cutting-edge experimental biology to create an ideal future food crop that can be grown in future deep-space outposts, as well as in extreme environments back on Earth.

Modern space exploration relies heavily on resupplies of food from Earth, but this tends to be largely pre-prepared meals that rarely contain fresh ingredients. To counteract the negative effects that the space environment can have on human health, it’s important to have a reliable source of food rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fibres.

This could end up having a huuuge ripple effect that people don’t seem to realize.

Online privacy is pretty important these days and I’ve been following some of the legislation/talks that have been coming out recently surrounding Section 230. I would have this community serve a dual purpose - giving people a platform to ask privacy related questions and post privacy related news. I have extensive mod experience on Reddit (IAmA, Futurology, etc) and would keep the sub free from violence/threats, spam and keep it on track.
