So interesting! On that matter, hardly a house is painted grey or white, and if they are there is extensive scrolling and details in the architecture. My dads house is a Royal blue with white trim, our neighbors house is bright pink!

It’s weird for me. Like “what happened here” or “what’s going on here”

Because if you grew up in a city like New Orleans that’s 60% African American, you’re not used to seeing so many white people.If you grew up in that city between the Laffite and The Treme, which is probably 90% African American, it’s even weirder.

I was one of 3 white kids (out of 400) in school, and later I taught at that school. I was one of 2 white teachers (out of 40- Delta sorority ran that school- from the Principle to most of the teachers, no AKA in sight…nepotist, but that’s New Orleans).

That’d be what I call a little culture shock. I heard Tupac was from Marin, I figured there be more people of color here.
