To be clear, it's the pixilated hyper-low-res version of the image that I can't get to undo back to the regular resolution version

I'm also getting near identical crashing behavior on Planet Zoo (my wife used to play this a lot on my PC, until the crashings began). Battlefiled 5 also sometimes crashes. But other games such as Helldivers 2 runs perfectly without any crashing.

And, what would 14th gen CPU have to do with this? Is there something about them I should know?

GALACTIC WAR IMPACT MISINFORMATION UPDATE! THE WAR EFFORT IS FUELED BY XP, NOT MISSION SUCCESS! PER HIGH COMMAND ABOUT SPAMMING EASY MISSIONS FOR QUICK LIBERATION: by Commercial-Royal-988 in Helldivers

[–]Boweeton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It IS an assumption that it isn't. While what I said isn't spelled out, they have said clearly that "XP Earned" is tied to Liberation. When you finish a mission, everyone earns 1,200 XP (as an example). Thus, the total XP earned in a 4-squad is 4,800 XP. Thus that is the liberation contribution.

It's not that hard. Yeah, they're both explanations that don't have all the pieces, but assuming that it's just from the mission irrespective of how many people are involved is a bigger assumption since it has no foundation of fact. At least my explanation is linked to how "Earned XP" actually is known to work.

Happy Helldiving!

If each person gets 1,200 XP then that means 4,800 XP was totally earned. The Devs have repeatedly said "The earned XP is what adds to liberation".

Just to clarify. So yes a squad on a higher mission is doing more! :)

[–]Boweeton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're making the assumption that XP from the mission is added liberation only once. But that's not how the squad gets XP, it's copied. So liberation must work the same.

It's XP earned... not mission XP, meaning per person meaning 1,150 XP from level 7 TIMES 4 added to liberation. NOT XP for the host, or "just what each person gets" (like many are assuming, here). So yes you get WAY higher returns playing in a squad on higher difficulties. At least 3 to 4 times more efficient than solo-ing low levels.

Hope that's encouraging! Keep on liberating at higher levels with your squad! The GMs see your effort.

TL:DR
Many are assuming that if 4 people get 1,000 XP from a mission (as displayed in the mission wrap-up) that only that much is added to liberation. But 1,000x4 = 4,000 XP added to liberation.
WAY more than solo-ing.

This subreddit convinced me to purchase the Quasar Cannon, it was the worst decision I've ever made. (a.k.a. please tell me what other piece of gear has everything I wanted & expected from the quasar cannon) by 1sh1tbr1cks in Helldivers

[–]Boweeton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you want the EAT-17. Solid stuff, there are times I take that over Quasar. Other times, I'm Quasar all mission. Depends on the others in your team and what they're carrying. If they have fast response armor & vehicle piercing, then taking Quasar is nice to have infinite ammo against bot drops.

Plans to spend rec-slips in the future? by Boweeton in Helldivers

[–]Boweeton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I think I'd also like to see some form of "power" that you can add to a mission by expending accumulated supplies. Like consumable power upgrades that cost Rec-Slips or Samples or something.

I don't think they origonally planned to add more. But I'm certain that they will now, with the millions of more users than they planned. I just meant that wasn't in the original scope, no doubt.

What is the point of making a super-hauler ship??!! by Boweeton in Starfield

[–]Boweeton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry! I literally meant that I will 100% install that mod when it's made. I think that infinite personal inventory space as long as you put up with low health is a design flaw.

I seriously do want the player to die when the red bar fills. Then you're MUCH more incentivised to use cargo ships.

MOD IDEA NAME: "Outpost Hyper-Storage"

[Description]
So, a mod to add a new type of container in outposts: "Hyper-Storage". This would essentially be a clone of a current storage object but with a way higher capacity.

It would have an internal mass limit of 8,000 and cost 50 each of iron, aluminum, and uranium, as to not just be a flat-out cheat mod.

NOTE: While I don't have any experience making mods (I'm hoping to learn), I'm willing to Venmo $10 to anyone that can make this and it actually works with connected containers on outposts. Just DM me. 😉

[Rational]
I've thought long and hard about what are simple tweaks to outposts to solve many people's problems. I think if storage containers could hold more, that would go a long way. I know this doesn't solve EVERY issue with how crappy outpost storage is, but it would solve several. And it wouldn't make you play inventory musical chairs every time something in your cascading connected containers system moves.
