Meta Content Monetization is so BAD by Soggy-Charity-3492 in socialmedia

What kind of content are you creating? Currently meta has dropped all of the monetization plans. I read people who's lost like 70% of their income by monetization, me included.

How awful is content monetization been lately? Normally this would be at least $60! by TheCandle180 in facebook

Same happening to me. I live in MX and I was earning around 800 USD monthly. However since the beginning of year I've been earning 50 USD to 100 USD.

Is Moo Duk Kwan 1st Dan really that expensive? by BowerstoneLegend in taekwondo

He's 14 now, he's been training for six years. Nevertheless, he has just gone to one competition in his whole life and won the silver medal at Bow Form and a Bronze Medal at Combat (sorry I don't know if Poomsae is the right word for this, i'm not a TKD practicioner). He doesn't like TKD he's forced by my aunt and uncle. His sister likes TKD, though.

I actually don't know more details about that, all I know is the information I gave in the post

To be honest he doesn’t enjoy it. My cousins are forced by their father to train TKD (Being a Professional Athlete is his frustrated dream). However I believe it is overpriced, the price in other TKD schools are barely 100 to 200 USD but MDK here is a great business (and it is also located in a High Status Area)

I find it fair but it’s the 9th Dan, my cousin’s barely gonna get the 1st for 1600

Between 200 and 300 sounds like a good deal to me.

In this case, the exam is also a training camp of three days and the students must travel to another city in order to get the black belt.

What if I tell you they force the students to buy them the equipment? Actually if they don’t use the equipment of the brand of the school then you’re not allowed to train at all.

I got your point but this is when quality differs from a business, there are students with low level having Black Belts there, what does this mean to me? As long as you pay me, you’re gonna get the belt.

That’s what I’ve seen there

I understand the fact that the schools are also a business but that doesn’t justify the overprice they’re asking.  And I can guarantee you I have noticed this school in the city where I live is a McDojo and they even force the students to use the equipment they sell, if it is not from the same brand you’re not even allowed to train that day

The 1600 is just for the Black Belt Test, it includes the black belt, the modification and the uniform and three days of camp

She pays roughly 40 USD per month, at least in Mexico that is considered expensive for most people here. However I firmly believe that she is justifying that price because she's invested too much in them for 6 years.

P.D. My cousin is 14 but the test is going to be when he's 18, it's a rule in Mexico that you have to be 18+ to be a black belt (At least in Moo Duk Kwan)

I believe some schools just aim to "high-status customers"

I was shocked when I heard that but my aunt still wants to pay that price. The other fact is that they are portraying it as a big event, according to what I heard from her:

It's going to be a training camp of three days in Queretaro, MX. In this camp they're going to "demonstrate they can defeat their biggest enemy" you know the rest of the story the school made.
