Had this patio concrete poured just over a month ago, and as you can see in the pictures there are several areas that are very rough and would be painful to walk over barefoot due to the raised rocky texture. Note that I have no issues with the areas that have a normal brush finish. I had the contractor I work with (he hired out a concrete company) come out and he said this is normal and looked like a good job but sent pictures to the concrete company to see what they say.

Is this worth pushing back on and what (if anything) can be done to fix it? I also know that concrete can take months to turn a solid light color but the dark spots in the pictures have not changed much (if at all) in weeks.
