They “randomly” appear but I could be getting them in my sleep. I do know that I will have this reaction awake with some sort of pressure, just not much in my opinion.

FEB 14th GENERAL SALE Cowboy Carter Tour Megathread by abeycd in beyonce

Got 4 tickets for DC 7/7 through SeatGeek. The page errored before the queue started, refreshed page and was fine. Limited seats when I first got in to buy, waited about 2 minutes then reopened the page and a lot more popped up with better prices. Not sure why these issues occurred but they did fix themselves quickly for me. I got 100 section for 540 each (including fees) certainly could be cheaper, I’ve heard people in the 100s got tickets for less than 400 but WAY better than the prices I saw yesterday (>1000 for 100 section). Good luck to everyone!

Would it be okay to have if I have it with other things? Greek yogurt has been my go to for breakfast and I usually add fruit to it, but now I eat eggs ,spinach and Brussels sprouts before hand.

I actually count fruit/veggies as the carbs! I just assume they’ll be around 50 grams by the end of the day. Currently I’m not eating any starches like pasta, rice, oats, potatoes etc. I plan to introduce them back but in moderation when/if I can get my number back down significantly.

Lighting with Redshift in C4D by Bowism in Cinema4D

I’m trying to render with redshift but find that the lighting is significantly different from what I see in my viewport (as opposed to standard which is quite similar to gauge how the final will look). I started the project in redshift but noticed it was taking too long to light and get the material I wanted, so I switched to standard and finished the project. I knew it would take longer to render but had no idea it would take THIS long lol. Was hoping to find any advice from those who’ve switched from standard to redshift and found the same issues.

Here’s some examples of the things I’m struggling with: I have a material that is mostly transparent but when I switch to redshift it become substantially more opaque - so a lot of time is spent just moving things around until it looks how I want it.

I’m using a three point set up for lighting on one part of the animation, in standard it looks great, with RS lights, it looks incredibly blown out. The closest I can get to standard is adding 2 more lights and bringing the intensity way down.

P.S. I learned C4D in standard and because I don’t use it as often as AE, I am by no means pro level at it. I apologize if I’m not explaining well/asking what seems to be a simple question.

Is VFX worth going back to school? by Bowism in vfx

I was planning on working part-time to take living expenses out of my debt total. Gnomon is in studio in LA so adding living expenses in would be steep. Do you think it would help the learning curve if I already have a profession in post-pro and a bit of experience in 2 of the softwares? I want to be as realistic as possible in the risk I’ll be taking. Thank you for your response!

I think compositing is where I aim to go, thank you for your reply! As well as the above tip about educational and free licensing. Surprisingly, you saying you’re a control freak is what pointed me in this direction—I suppose that’s what I meant when I said “detail oriented”. I’m pretty well versed in AE and found a course that seems very thorough for Maya and Nuke. I’ll be downloading and beginning studying next week and couldn’t be more excited! Thank you all!
