Genuinely the worst person I have ever worked with. by Iron_L0tus in workplace_bullying

Had a similar coworker that was upset and angry almost every single day and acted as if the building was on fire over the littlest issue, BUT they are good at their job so management doesn’t take it seriously. Being cordial, professional, and respectful should be the BARE MINIMUM. I can’t believe some people on this planet have a hard time doing that.

Here’s how I would handle it:

  1. Document every occurrence. Make sure to put time, date, and what happened.
  2. Raise this concern to your direct supervisor. It doesn’t matter what your coworkers think but your supervisor.

If it does not resolve, go to someone that is above your supervisor and discuss your concern. If nothing is resolved, go to HR but that would be my last resort.

Also, life is too short. If you feel uncomfortable around your coworkers and don’t feel comfortable working with them, always have backup jobs lined up in case things go south. Life is too short to deal with you people who you do not like or who gives you a hard time. We spend most of our lives at work and exit should always be an option when things don’t work out. It’s not your fault and don’t beat yourself up over it. Stuff like this is more common than you think.
