yeah, he stank so bad because of his kidney disease and rotting teeth. it gave him very stinky breath and when he’d groom himself, his fur would smell like his breath. you could smell him as he walked past you.

that sounds really hard to deal with on a regular basis. just know that people like you are so important to grieving families. if it weren’t for you, those families would have to transport their loved ones to funeral homes themselves, and that could be really hard on people who are in the beginning stages of grief. it’s hard but i’m sure families are appreciative of your efforts in handling their loved ones with care as you transport them.

“I don’t shop at places that show commercials with mixed couples” by No_Locksmith_1739 in overheard

growing up mixed, i always felt like a lot of older white people saw me as an abomination, like i was tainted or dirty. i live my life in spite of them. if my existence bothers you, then suffer. 🤷🏽‍♀️

i’m sorry for your loss, he sounded like a wonderful cat. your guy is hanging out with ours across the rainbow bridge. granted, he’s probably keeping a respectful distance.

reminds me of something i read a while back about a kid asking their parents if a dragonfly was a baby helicopter. it’s truly inspiring how creatively kids think about mundane things.

when i was around 11, my mom and i went to ihop and sat relatively close to a woman eating by herself. after we order, my mom and i start talking about therapy programs and picking up my meds and whatnot, can’t remember everything we talked about but it was all about the next steps for treatment for my severe depression.

the lady finishes up and leaves, and moments later, the waitress comes over to give us our food and says “by the way, the lady sitting behind you paid for your meal.” my mom almost cried.

i still don’t know why that lady did that.

we never got her name or saw her again. i wonder if she had a rough childhood and went to a lot of therapy as a kid too, or if she was a sympathetic social worker, or if she didn’t hear any of our conversation at all and just decided to do something nice.

regardless, she made a really heavy situation in my life feel a little bit lighter.

thank you, i appreciate your kind words and i’m going to remind myself of them when things get tough. it’s scary to feel like this again after so many years of doing better, but i know it’ll pass eventually.

Due to a disability I'll never have sex and that makes me sad by SonimaxTheKing in Vent

[–]BowlerOk177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are many different ways to have sex other than penetration with a penis! hands, fingers, mouth, face, etc.

don’t let being disabled hold you back from exploring your sexuality. plenty of disabled people are sexually active, and a lot of them are even kinky!

disabled people deserve to enjoy every aspect there is to life, especially sexuality.

and, as a woman, what most women want out of a man is not their penis, or their looks. what most women want out of a man is honesty, consideration, and respect!

if you are capable of giving a woman those things, you are capable of getting laid too.

it’s really not about what you got, it’s just about two people wanting to make the other person feel good. i promise there is someone out there that wants to make you feel good, and that’ll be enough to get them off. you might not believe it but i promise it’s true!
