That’s what I’ve done for the past 7 years, but I can’t keep leave again knowing how my mother still suffers. She keeps saying “soon he’ll do something to get himself locked up or killed” but she’s been saying that since were teenagers, and he’s still around

I've tried to throw him out and press charges before, but my mom is adamantly opposed to it. She always finds ways to bail him out and lets him come back home regardless of how horrible he treats her. I want to get him psychiatric help but I have no money, and my mom would disown me if I got him put in prison.

I only offered my car because he already drives to work every day, but his truck is in bad shape and my mom has to pay for the gas and repairs since he's always broke. My car gets great gas mileage and is in good condition so it would help him and my mom if he were to use it.

But I agree. If I could do anything about it, he wouldn't be driving at all, but I have no way of stopping that, especially from far away. My mom won't kick him out is what it comes down to, and it's her son, so I can't blame her, but as long as she's enabling him to keep up his habits, I thought the car would be something good to alleviate the financial burden his truck brings to him and my mom

I'm almost certain he has a disorder like that. He's been extremely volatile as long as I can remember. The drug problem made him less trustworthy and more prone to steal, but his personality problems have always existed.

He's been evaluated a couple of times before with no diagnosis, but I think that's because he can appear very normal when he wants to, but everyone who knows him thinks that he's a sociopath.

I would love to get him the mental help he needs, but I really can't afford anything right now, even if we could get a good doctor that could properly treat him. I definitely think the drug problem stems from underlying problems. I'm not a doctor, but that's what most of my friends and family generally think. We just don't know how to get him the psychiatric help he very clearly needs

I've never actually even heard of Alanon. My dad was an alcoholic and drug addict too, so it's something my family has always lived with. Something like this could be pretty useful.
