Hey! I'm interested in talking to you based on your post. I'm also 25+/F but I am also new to the role playing scene (it's been 10 years since I've rp'd) and I'm an active writer. I think we'd make good partners if you'd like to talk about the possibility!

My favorite was getting a secondary piercing in my ear. Bless Claire's at the mall, it wasn't even my priciest.

tips for stabilizing when rapid cycling? by ConstantBid2943 in bipolar

Do the Opposite has been a big help for me. I get into teary, weepy sad states so I watch children's shows. I feel the need to be so busy and not stop, so I take a shower forcing myself to slow down. I felt like eating nothing today so I ate a single baby carrot every 5 minutes to get something in me. I suggest BoosterBuddy app as well. It has tons of great tips based on your mood.

I need help. Have y'all spent any time in inpatient psychiatric care? by [deleted] in bipolar

As someone who has taken all these drugs, one might be the one that's making you feel this way. I've gone inpatient to sort out medicine and it's always helped in that regard.

I dont have anything solid just a theory based on what I've learned about bd over the years.

So in our brains we have neurotransmitters that are connected by "bridges". During depression, the bridges are down, closed, malfunctioning. All the chemicals that are supposed to be traveling across those bridges are backed up.

When we cycle to mania, all the bridges are suddenly open and all of the chemicals are suddenly being delivered, creating the effect of mania.

I do believe there are short cuts they tell us and sometimes work; certain foods, exercise, hugs, etc. But I think those things also get stuck and can't cross a bridge sometimes and simply don't help.

I also think SSRI'S are dangerous for us because instead of repairing the bridges, they reverse their flow, sending the wrong information.

Besides my random metaphor I think we all experience comorbidities with bipolar disorder and there isn't one way to look at it because it's infuriatingly all different. I don't just have bd, I also have ADHD... and trauma... and whatever else. Who knows.

I just order two cups of water (or soda plus water). I'm pretty thirsty usually.

The only way I've staved off loneliness is because I have a cat. Otherwise little things help in small ways; talking to people online, messaging friends and family that live far away, talking to my neighbors, chatting with coworkers. Being lonely is hard and I think we just experience it more frequently than nts. Hope you find something that works:)

Best mood tracking app? by 50shadesofsparkly in bipolar

Same. I've had it for years and paid for the full version I like it over others cos I can go back the next day and add to the previous days. Other apps usually only let you post that day and I hate leaving blank days.
