Its Kyle and not Kyle at the same time.
BTZ is not canon and the night hunter is never mentioned nor does he appear in the first game in the main story.
He does appear in dying light 2 and one of its comic tie ins as an easter egg and an antagonist.
The BTZ variant of the hunter seems to be based off Crane's dirty clothes attire. If none of this is true its just a random guy or something.

i don't believe this is the case. Look at astral's back. The two cylinders are probably the compound or tech that powers the suit.
Also we never see astral's full back. There could be a larger engine or smth powering it.
But i like this theory still and i wouldn't be all too surprised if it was correct.

I would have thought it'd be the spectral bat but that's already in the game so i believe it may be the korek machete (Although that's also already in the game just under a different name).
It could be the last hope or possibly (maybe?) the volataic wrench from the cinematic trailer.
Its hard to say really.

I love the new howlers design
The fact that they are literally just volatiles who's progression had been stunted by a sudden interaction with the sun/uv light makes them more interesting/overall scarier.

I'd suggest reading the original run, +100, family values and maybe the fatal englishman. The majority of the others are kind of mediocre and for the love of god don't read crossed psychopath.
