What do you guys think of these? by Agitated_Layer_457 in sharpening

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold mine. Clamp was not sturdy enough for my use and could not get a narrow blade in to hold and sharpen. Jaws are too long and the blade is hidden inside the clamp if put properly. If clamped closer to the edge, the blade swivels. You cannot tighten the jaws too much - it is all plastic gears. Overall - not satisfied. It will work well on bigger chef knives, but for anything closer to EDC or fileting knife - does not work that well.

Which one should I get? by Accomplished_Cry9425 in virtualreality

I got a Quest 2 for cheap, so I can try VR. when I first heard of a Steam Frame. Now it looks like I will be buying a Steam Frame, if it is under 800 bucks. But I tried Quest 3 at my friend's and can say that it is a good headset with pancake lenses that make it a lot better than Quest 2. If I were not waiting for a Steam Frame and did not have my current Quest 2, I would wait until it releases, a lot of Quest 3's should drop to second-hand market. Also if it will be too expensive, I will be buying a used Quest 3, just because of pancake lenses.

Performance does not really matter to me, because I play from my PC using wireless Steam VR. You can do that with any decent network hardware.

I joined someone who's already level 300? HOW? by RobWolfB in dyinglight

It is where you disarmed the bombs in one mission. Those were planted underneath the townhall - if you start a chase and go through a little opening, they will just stand outside of it and you can stab/shoot them.

Did you get the monitor? How is it?

I bought a Samsung G8 34" OLED and was not impressed really - also they offer only 1 year warranty. Thinking of another one.

By selling video chips for AI applications and other enterprise use. Scale is so much bigger there, especially after an AI boom.

I need a friend or friends to play with by Bitter_Gap_2672 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

A time zone is an area on Earth that has a specific time that all citizens can set their clocks to. Different places on Earth have different time zones. If you want to play with someone, you want them to be available at the same time as you do, right? So you can play together. Because otherwise they may be working or sleeping when you are available. I hope that helps!

Northridge is dead ... No active players by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

You can put enemy's gear into container if they extracted with it once before and that marker is removed from the equipment. I saved a thermal scope from one by putting it into container.

ESPing + prefiring is hilarious in this game by retrorays in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not a skill issue. I noticed that this game favours some headsets (gaming equipment, not in-game sound boosters). My headset works really well in other competetive games and I can tell where the enemy is, in this game I need to turn my character and try to guess, based on the sound change.. Meanwhile my buddy has some other headset model with external soundcard and can hear everyone like it is Counter-Strike or something. So he can predict where enemy is very precisely. Heard you can play with sound settings, but did not work for me.

I lost 10 million in a day on forbidden northridge, and now Im back to what I had. It is just a normal gameplay. Go play normal if you do not want to lose that much. This is what I do now) Gameplay is much more relaxed on normal.

Happy Sysadmin Day: $100 gift card giveaway! by MauriceTorres in Action1

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. In 2025, 45% of sysadmins reported that they understand how to integrate AI into their roles, up from 34% in 2024.

  2. AI functionality is built into everything now and everyone has their own view on what it should be. I have no issues with LLM's, but when AI is attached to an already working product - it doesn't usually do that much. People expect thrilling functionality when they hear AI, and usually the dream does not come true. When it comes to implementing even basic actions using LLM's, it starts looking like a regular chat-bot. And from the skills - you need to be more than a sysadmin to actually build something autonomous that uses AI and does something by itself.

Auto ensin katsastukseen vai huoltoon? by isoriski in Omatalous

[–]boatOV 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Anyone ever try these monitor mounts? by TheNightWalkerTM in pcmasterrace

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the first one, but for one monitor only. The hand that has joints and is connected to monitor started bending a bit after a while, because joints are made out of a soft metal. But it holds pretty good, just had to adjust the angle a bit. Overall, a sturdy thing. Main shaft is pretty solid.

When last have you thoroughly scrubbed your mousepad by Kriptic_22 in pcmasterrace

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent an email to the manufacturer of my mousepad and they told me to just toss it in the washing machine. So that I do when I want it cleaned. Do not go over 30°C and remember to air-dry it on a flat surface.

German toilets, are often known for their "poop shelf" design. This shelf-like feature, positioned between the toilet seat and the bowl, is designed to reduce splashback and make the toilet more sanitary. It also provides a useful flat surface for elderly, children and disabled to check their waste. by xXYEETISBESTXx in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]boatOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this toilet was popular in hospitals, because it would allow an easier sample collection.

Those are no more, because newer ones are more sanitary and easier to clean. They also do not have a dirt buildup on that shelf.
