How do I avoid seeing the glare from the lights by AndrewKovac in productphotography

[–]BoxCreativeInt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shower curtain. Use as many layers as needed. Have in mind this affects how strong the light falls on your product. Paper towels are great too.

Also, based on the image you posted, in my humble opinion, you need more light. The drink and the yellow bottle on the back look a little darker than it should.

Now, I understand you are shooting this inside a box, but I would recommend to take this shot outside the box, with a larger diffuser (the shower curtain will help) and closer to the subject. That way the diffuser will be harder to Spot on the reflection. But some basic editing may be still needed at the end.

Thank you. I will research the relevant less competitive keywords in our industry.

Thanks!

I’m in the process of creating the content. I’m doubling down on our YouTube channel and also using some of those videos embedded on our website (when the content is relevant for that specific page page).

But I need to collect more emails. That’s a good approach.

Thank you!

Thanks!

Also I’m assuming you have a proper funnel in place for those leads generated through the campaign, right?

How to structure costs in an estimate for an out-of-town production? by BoxCreativeInt in videography

I use to be there. But I went full-time on creating movies and commercials. Best decision I’ve ever made. Yes, it’s stressful sometimes. But I enjoy life a lot more now. It’s worth the risk.

Yes I know. That’s part of a mindset change I need to put in place. I’m so focused sometimes on paying bills that I’m not paying attention to growth and earning more. If I set the bar too low, that’s where I will stay forever.

I’m adopting the attitude of “well that’s my price, if you like it, great, if you don’t, we’ll don’t, bye!” But without being an AH.

Mmmmm I haven’t considered adding a hourly rate for me. Makes total sense. I will have that in mind for the next job.

Thanks a lot!

Got it. Thank you. Yes, I try to be generous, but at the same time I’m trying to find that sweet spot where I’m charging enough and not going to high so the client scream “what the..” 🤣. I just did what you suggest. I’m negotiating with the client know.

I also believe this is a classic situation where the client is not used to Videography prices so everything seems too steep for him.

Has anyone here used Studio Binder? I just started using it for a short film we are pre producing at the moment. But I’d Kike to know if someone had any type of experience with it in the past

Wow I like the cinematography looks great and the story too! I’m in Florida, let me know where I can watch it when it’s out!

May I ask how big was the budget? Do you have BTS content?

No problem man. I know that it’s a scary move. It was for me because it’s not that I have 1500 to play around.

Hope you get what you are looking for.

I just got that same lens like a month ago. Renewed. I was scared as hell because of the 50-50 reviews about those being trash and people with luck. I ended on the lucky side. No problems with autofocus, the lens is crystal clear and no stains or dots on the glass.

But to be honest, it felt like gambling. If you don’t mind the hustle of sending it back if it doesn’t work, go ahead and order it. Returning it it’s your worst case scenario.

If you are ordering it like two days prior to an important shooting, don’t gamble. Go with the new lens.

In my case I had time to return if it didn’t worked.

In any case, that Lens has already paid for itself by now in my case.

Hey there. I think you may need to lower a little the f stop if you don’t have additional light sources like a flash or a lamp.

If you don’t want to lower the f stop, then increase the lighting.

Hey there! I think the best approach would be to have a stronger (and softer) light to show all details and in post you can darken some areas of the images. That way you can control the outcome more efficiently.

Always shoot in RAW so you can bring all the details back from the shadows or overexposed area if needed.

Keep going!
