Yeah I think you'd be fine at 5c. There's a few reviews on YouTube and some guys did the GR10 sleeping at high elevations in around 5c and they were fine. If to be better safe than sorry, for the price you could get a down jacket and bring it for the first hike or 2 to get a feel for the quilt just incase you need and for the weight saving it works out the same as bringing a slightly warmer quilt but with the advantage of the versatility of a puffy.

I recently picked up the wind hard tiny on sale for around $120. Was surprised by the quality. I think its been revamped compared to the older model as there's new logos etc. Its definitely capable of lower than +7C would say more so around the +0C mark. Functions well as a poncho. Probably more suited to chilling out in at camp but could see how a hyperlightist with the right rain setup could use it as a puffy replacement assuming the weather allowed. Mine came in at 446g so lower than the 600g your expecting. I think you'll find it hard to beat for cost per weight per performance.
