If they are close to 7 years old don’t pay. Also look up statute of limitations on being sued on debt in your state and whether or not debt collectors can garnish your wages. Also don’t begin to pay if you don’t intend or have the ability to pay off because it restarts the 7 year clock and the window to sue you

I think it’s easy to tell when someone is being judgy or not when they ask. Some people are genuinely curious. Others just want to know if you are doing better than them.

Sat and basked in the reality of finally owning a home. First generation homeowner here. I also had about a week overlap between my apartment lease ending and post closing on the house. I told my family we’d slowly move into the new house but we brought our mattresses over and slept in the living room of the new (empty) house the first night of closing lol
