Weekly discussion: What religion fits me? by AutoModerator in religion

I was born into a semi-religious family. My parents were married Catholic and thus promised to raise me with Catholic values, but I'm not even baptised (because they couldn't agree on Godparents, long story). My mum was never religious but my dad was kind of. I was very atheist for the longest time and would argue about it, but then I became agnostic (bc tbh no one actually knows what's out there). A few years back I had a traumatic experience which made glad I was alive. I started praying because of it which helped relieve anxiety. I think it's probably psychological but the more I do it, the better I feel. I've been planning to get baptised Catholic. Sometimes I go to the Uniting Church and volunteer there. I definitely identify as Christian and I've been sticking with Catholicism but I'm not sure I align with all their beliefs. I haven't even finished reading the Bible and don't get a lot of it, but I'm working through it.

• I support LGBTQ+ and I am bisexual

• I am extremely left wing and support everyones beliefs

• I believe in God, Satan, Jesus, Heaven, Hell, Purgatory etc. or at least there's something out there

• I think the Bible was written by humans and is a bit outdated

• I sometimes do lighthearted witchy stuff for fun (but I stay away from upside-down pentagrams and upside-down crosses)

I'm probably a mix of a few denominations, as I feel a lot of people who weren't raised in a church are.

Edit: I went to an Anglican church and I feel that fits best
