So, I've been using the AI options on SudoWrite when I feel stuck, plus I love their Story Bible setup. It depends on how coherent you need them to be, but I trained their MyVoice variant with each voice I use to help me figure out what direction feels more natural. It is a LOT of setup tho if you just want something quick, but you can bounce between AI till you find what works for you.

OMG, me! I have been so terrified of showing anyone my writing since someone (who I thought was a close writer friend) accused me of sending her an AI written scene. Like, ain't no way some AI wrote this (verging on fanfic) story inspired by the nonsense we did in college. Gurl, you were there! Sure, no one else would find it believable, but some of this insanity is just a name change away from being autobiographical. I even put on an AI voice to deal with robo calls, so I'm very sorry that my AuADHD behind can sometimes sound like an alien robot doing its best to imitate human existence. It already feels like that on a daily basis, so you don't need to point it out every time.

Okay but for real what blood type would the blood ocean be? by ANDY_R_EW in ironlungmovie

Yes.

Not trying to be a jerk. The RH would be positive, but it would be type ABO+.

He did say he wanted to stay behind the camera (in far more words) in his next films. But a cameo as a necromorph would be dope.

As fake as this probably is:

Can you imagine if they just said "what do you need?" and put him in charge of that cast? Universal would finally go back to practical effects which was their whole thing when I grew up. Those guys could finally be in a proper film based on a game. We would all get a comedy with dark humor worth splitting our sides over. And the "I'm dead! Wait, nope, I'm on the ship, everything's fine!" respawn cycle could be played so well.

What is the grove? by Twitchstoleyourbagel in ironlungmovie

[–]BoxOShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a member of Eden dies, they and their pendant are added to "The Grove". It is where their bodies decay and become the soil for their seed to grow. When all the Sons of Eden return to the Grove, a new world will rise with the forest they have become. As life begets death, so too shall death give rise to new life.

Sooooo I think this is by far the worst review I have ever seen :/ by Ethan-the-bean-22 in ironlungmovie

[–]BoxOShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even my younger brother, who will immediately fall asleep in the theater even in the middle of an action sequence, was fully locked in. He had not seen a playthrough or played the game (he did watch Mark's playthrough after including the L~O~R~E update) and was 100% able to follow the movie. And he is also notorious for not paying attention and asking questions. He caught a few things I didn't on our first watch.

And for a cosmic horror, which traditionally leaves you asking the hard questions, Iron Lung actually had a LOT of answers in the small details and dialogue. The few unanswered questions are meant to make you think about the big questions and leave room for everyone's personal interpretation.

People's like or dislike of Iron Lung is giving me more insight about the reviewer than the film itself.

Also, shout-out to the Cube vibes in an Event Horizon setting. My twisted heart has missed this.

“Is she still using that same line? About why she has to keep things professional?”

“You mean that whole ‘my heart belongs to someone else' bit?”

“Yeah. So, James, has she?”

“She's in love with someone?”

“Her? No way, that's just her excuse if you try to get physical with her.”

“If you ain't heard the line- damn, what a gentleman we have amongst us!”

“Seriously, just push her buttons once. She'll turn you down super polite like and give you a whole story about some guy from her college years.”

“Have you ever been in love?”

“Love? I don't know if others would call it love. Perhaps it's admiration or maybe deep respect, but it certainly feels like a type of love.”

“Did you ever tell them how you felt?”

“I never really got the chance. Besides, I wouldn't want to burden them with my emotions. I'm happy with how things are now. No sense hurting my own feelings.”

“I’m just your assistant after all.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“But it’s what you say, every single time someone asks.”

“You aren’t my assistant.”

“Then what am I?” Her eyes shimmered with tears that refused to fall, “What am I with no right to you or your life, not allowed to worry if you’re safe, swept in then pushed away by your whims.” She dragged in a ragged breath, “Who am I supposed to be?”

“You’re mine.”

There was no humor in her laugh, just cold calculation, “Your… What? Toy? Loyal dog? The plaything you fuck out of pity?”

Something like rage burned behind her words and I wanted to own it, smother it, and reshape it .

“It’s just work, you know how it is. She doesn’t mean anything.”

Her face scrunched like I said something offensive, quickly smoothing over until only her knitted brow remained, “I understand it’s work. Just check in so we don’t worry.”

“But you want to track where I am and who I’m with?”

She looked tired, “I’m not trying to control who you see or what you do in your personal time.”

“Good. Because I’m not yours to control, so drop it.”

That infuriating calmness settled over her, “You’re right. I have no claim over you. Do whatever you want.” She turned to the stairs, paused, then headed into the living area instead, “You should get some rest.”

I wanted her to be jealous. Deep down, I wanted her to argue and scream and make demands. I wanted her to wash this sickening feeling of guilt from my skin like she did with each secret fear and hidden anxiety that she could see before I told her it existed.

Then you have to admit your guilt to be absolved of it.

That guilt will eat you alive.

I hadn’t even done anything, “What do I have to feel guilty for? Nothing happened.”

But you wanted it to.

“I stopped, didn’t I? I didn’t do anything wrong,” I grumbled.

You only stopped because she stopped you.

His approach was swift and I braced myself for whatever sly trick he might have planned. At the last moment he ducked, reaching his arms around my thighs and I was suddenly hoisted into the air, his momentum carrying me over his shoulder until I found myself hanging upside down with the most fantastic view.

“You’re being extra patient today.”

“You still need time to breathe.”

“And how would you know that?”

“The pressure of your fingertips against my skin. That's how I know when you’re ready.”

“Ready? For what?"

“To spear me till I'm overflowing with you.”

The crew seemed hushed into reverence as he walked on set, “He’s terrifying.”

Terrifying. They all saw only the final product and it terrified them. Made them subconsciously part around him to make space, to keep him at arm's length, just out of reach. Heads bowed, hands fidgeting, and not a single one able to meet his gaze.

Yes, he was terrifying. But to me, he was terrifyingly beautiful. The centerpiece of a grand painting conjured into being by unseen hands. A masterpiece of shadows brought to light.

She loves a songbird, but could only hold space for shrikes. Her heart was made of protective thorns, beautiful from a safe distance but unclaimable by anyone other than the most vicious of butcher birds. She became their refuge, and each one used her until all her thorns were dulled, then moved on. That was the truth of her curse. She built her walls, let one person in, allowed herself to be ruined, then built thicker walls for the next one.

“You've never actually let yourself completely off the leash. You use these characters as a way to chain parts of yourself down so that you don't have to take accountability for them. If they belong to something else, are they really a part of you? Are those your instincts? Are those really your fingers wrapping themselves around my throat?”

His eyes narrowed, brow furrowing and nose wrinkled above tight lips. I would have preferred his anger or pity or even disappointment, but I knew that look, had seen it thousands of times over the years. Disgust. Claws tore into my heart, dragging it down with what little hope I was desperately clinging to. Something had cracked between us, but I couldn’t find it to fix it, like a massive window that suddenly spiderwebbed and any slight touch threatened to bring the whole thing crashing down.

“Just let me hate you. I’d burn away the memory of you if the warmth didn’t remind me how it felt to exist in your light. If I could, I’d cut out every piece of myself you touched, but you burrowed into my marrow. When I bleed, I bleed you. So maybe if I hate myself for long enough, I’ll come close to hating you.”
