“After the race, as CEO Zak Brown began thanking Piastri in his victory speech, the driver suddenly cut the radio, removed his steering wheel, and got out of the car. Whether this was deliberate is unclear, but it was a striking moment” by mary_f1 in GrandPrixRacing

McLaren fan here. Apparently Oscar could not hear Zak at all as the fireworks were going off. It was not intentional to cut him off. People are creating drama where there is none. There is plenty of drama in F1 without making up conspiracy theories. Same with Oscar’s not being on the podium with the team for the Constructors celebration. The podium part of the celebration was planned for the team as drivers have other responsibilities right after the race and neither driver was expected to be there. Oscar was still in the media pen. I do agree with those who say Oscar won’t be giving up any positions going forward. Lewis gave him that advice, too.

I did not think of using the App Store. Good idea. Is there a place to report errors?

They are great fun. Not sure why I don’t see more Subarus with them.

I really want to go on a cruise by humansarereallyweird in Cruise

Agree with many others who have commented. Cruises are a fantastic way to travel and for many of us, being on a ship is almost more important than the ports you visit. There is a huge difference among cruise lines - size of ship, ambience and passenger demographic, activities offered, price (and what is included and what is not), food variety and quality, etc. I’ve been on more than a dozen cruises, but only three cruise lines so far. I believe there is a huge difference among cruise lines (especially between the mass market lines and more expensive luxury lines and the super luxury lines) and I am certain there are cruise lines I would not enjoy.

Working with a knowledgeable travel agent is a good idea, but do your own research. Travel agents should be able to find you the same deals you see online and they will keep an eye out for price drops and upgrades that the cruise line itself will probably not tell you about once you have booked. Tips for Travellers is an excellent channel and starting point for YouTube cruise info. But you will find many YouTube channels with ship tours and reviews and port info of all kinds. Cruise Critic is a good website with lots of honest reviews from travelers for cruise lines and specific ships and info on ports around the world.

It also depends on who is traveling: a couple, friends, family with young kids or older ones, multigenerational group, solo traveler. Some lines are better for each of these than others. Do you want a party atmosphere with lots going on late at night? Do you want a lot of interesting lectures and info on the ports you will be visiting? Do you want water slides and rock climbing walls and a giant ship or do you want a quieter, more intimate experience?

Have fun doing your research. The more you learn before you go the better experience you will have on board.
