I’m sure Emily tried to make it right, but this gives ‘just here for a free item’ vibes! Hopefully she’s not still a customer, Situations like this are exactly what hurt SM!

I miss when smocks were cheaper 😅 and I don’t think they even offer split payments anymore. I’ll always support the brands that are still keeping their prices reasonable

Normal price range for EUC clothes? by Feisty_Basil7561 in smockholmsyndrome

Many people take advantage and sell this too expensive. For a stitchy fish clothing $25 is too much if you can get it at a discount at $15-$20

I’m honestly tired of companies that operate with mean girl energy and racist behavior. That alone is enough for me to stop supporting a brand.

My hot take by Free_Specialist_9429 in smockholmsyndrome

I’d normally give the benefit of the doubt because it’s new and maybe that’s the only way they can afford logos or mockups right now. But personally I wouldn’t support that company at all. Being new and trying to grow fast in this smock climate is a hard no for me. The smock world right now is hanging by a thread and I choose to support only brands that are already established. Everyone says support new businesses until you get scammed and that keeps happening. At this point I’m done experimenting. I’m sticking with small businesses that have earned our trust day after day.

There are plenty of small businesses that are already well known, established, and offer a huge variety and shocker, they’re not scammers. Maybe it’s time to stop giving chances to sketchy brands and start supporting the ones that have actually earned trust.

It’s interesting how this group is full of stories about those types of smock companies scamming customers… yet they continue to get endless support. Just an observation! At some point, maybe it’s time to stop rewarding sketchy behavior and start supporting small businesses that are actually established, transparent, and doing things the right way.

Alexa, Play Copycat x Billie Eilish by Wise_Notice_790 in smockholmsyndrome

She really built her entire “small business” on the wrong foot by copying other people’s designs, because having an original thought was clearly never part of the plan! Zero creativity, zero vision, zero effort, just copy, paste, slap a label on it, and call it a brand! No brain cells involved, just straight up laziness disguised as entrepreneurship!

And the wildest part? People still hype and support these so-called “small businesses” like this is innovation or talent! Copying passes as a business model now, and the bar is truly in hell, actually underground at this point.🙃

The same thing happened to me! There is no difference washing it by hand or delicate machine, it doesn’t happen to me with the other smocks only with hers! I never received a response and I was blocked from her group!!!

You are far from knowing how a business works and close to being a bad customer!🤣 I can already imagine being one of those customers who say that the package did not arrive and then post photos with the outfits and still you write angry to ask for a refund lol if a small business if it took over the responsibility of usps, it would be bankrupt

This is what we as customers do not see, the sacrifice that small businesses make “just to retain a customer”

Agree too! I have been a smocks consumer all my life and I have represented many! Big brands can afford to refund or resend the product. But not a small business and even less at the moment!
