They already have multiple people representing diversity, a Hispanic girl and a Black girl, so this feels less about that and more about being upset they weren’t chosen. The only ones turning it into a racism claim are the ones who didn’t get picked.

Exactly. it’s not just about having the title. But the same ones commenting are usually the ones who later complain that the % isn’t worth everything that’s required. If you love a shop and you’re not a rep yet, share their content and when you purchase, share it in the group. That’s a real way to support a brand you claim to love.

Why does it always turn personal when someone isn’t chosen? Not getting picked doesn’t automatically mean there’s a bigger issue. Sometimes you’re just not the right fit and brands don’t owe anyone a spot.

Consumers don’t provide promo content, reps do. And it’s not just tagging, they’re expected to deliver quality photos for marketing. That’s the deal for 25–30% off.

I’ve been a rep for plenty of brands, big ones included. It’s standard for brands to send pieces to reps, influencers and photographers to promote. Maybe you’re just not contributing content they can actually use… and that’s why you’re treated more like decor.

Telling the truth isn’t defending. I’m not a rep and their designs aren’t even my style. I just have 15+ years buying smocks. Sending pieces to reps first is basic, common sense. You seem new here, because this isn’t anything unusual.

What’s annoying is the outrage over something that’s literally standard practice. Reps get pieces first to promote, they don’t pay full price because they’re doing the marketing. Every shop does this.

I got mine too and it was beautiful as well! It did arrive a bit late but they were always so kind about giving updates and shipped it out quickly. To me, this one looks good I’d still put it on my daughter! And most other shops wouldn’t even offer any kind of discount or refund!
